Bit wiped out here - last night was hard work but went well other than I broke the deer skull on my staff. I haven't dared look today to see how bad the damage is (too dark last night) - I'm hoping it isn't too bad. I picked up all the skull fragments and I'll burn them later

Just 4 more Samhain events to survive.... !

SecretWitch · 28/10/2018 17:01

Hello, Witches!
Loved catching up on everyone’s plans for Samhain. I am meant to be carving pumpkins tonight but just can’t seem to get focused.

My lovely friend sent me a beautiful smudge stick of lavender and sage. I plan to use it Samhain morning. Also planning my ritual bath.

My dreams have been very intense. Several people I loved, who have died, keep popping up. I wonder if it has to do with Samhain being so close?

Bright blessings for a good evening.✨✨

VioletCharlotte · 28/10/2018 18:18

Hello everyone. Echoing Secret Witch it's lovely to hear about your Samhain rituals and events. I love this time of year, I can feel the energy crackling in the air. It's so exciting!

I've bought lots of sweets for the children. I live in a big estate so always get loads. Later in the evening I'm going to my spiritual development group, which should be interesting, looking forward to seeing who comes through.

My own personal ritual, which I'll do when I get home, is to light candles, place them around photos of my grandparents and invite them to come and join me.

SecretWitch · 28/10/2018 22:00

VioletteCharlotte I feel the energy all around me. Like I mentioned the feeling is present in my awake and sleep state. I am honoured to be part of this spiritual process.

Winterfellwonderland · 28/10/2018 22:12

Hello I feel I need to placemark this. I am kinda A half witch lol I used to be really connected ( not sure how to explain it) but I feel recently over the last few years I feel my connection with the spiritual world has faded a bit. I'm trying to get back into.it all.again. I've been seeing a lady who does energy healing on me and also communicates with the other world. I feel its helping. We had some recent negative things happen so I've gone overboard on crystals and using salted lemons to protect the house. I've got a lavender and sage smudge stick but haven't used it yet. Any advice from you lovely ladies would be great.

Welcome @Aedhran. I’m sure that the others will be along shortly.

I was also interested in making a autumn wreath and discovered a load of hits on YouTube abd Google under “ fall wreath”.

GruciusMalfoy · 29/10/2018 07:56

Morning all!

I've woken to a bright blue sky, and a heavy frost over the grass. It should be a lovely day. I need to be at home for a delivery today, so I'm going to open all the windows while I clean. Let some of that clean air in.

Blessings to you all for a positive week ahead.

MawkishTwaddle · 29/10/2018 07:59

Morning everyone.

I have a question for any tarot readers out there.

I did a Celtic Cross spread last night, and it was uncannily accurate. So much so that my partner who was watching felt a bit unsettled by it. He's new to my Wiccan ways.

The only thing that I'm questioning is that I had the Sun card in position 4.

My book says that this represents things that are in the past and no longer relevant - but also states that to get the Sun card is always very positive!

I'm interpreting that it means that I have to let go of the idea that things should be perfect and be more realistic - this would fit in with the rest of the reading - but I just wondered if any of you more experienced Readers had any other ideas?

Thank you.

VioletCharlotte · 29/10/2018 12:31

Morning all

After an amazing weekend full of spiritual work, I'm having to come back to earth with a bump and group myself to get on with the job I'm paid to do! I'm finding it hard!

Mawkish It depends on the cards around the sun as to how I would interpret it. Do you have a pic of the spread?

Hello Witches!
Greetings to Aedran and Winterfellwonderland and the rest of you lovely bunch...

Winter right now, I’m planning to have my ritual salt bath on Samhain morning, followed by smudging the house. I love the way lavender smells and do feel it helps lift any negative cobwebs away.

Interesting how one or two of my cats always seem very interested in any spiritual happenings. The other two really don’t seem bothered.

Blessings for a peaceful afternoon and evening ✨✨

PawneeParksDept · 29/10/2018 14:46

My patience is being severely tested this day by a number of challenging people. Spell for it I wonder?

speakout · 29/10/2018 15:00

Depends how much they are annoying you! Halloween Wink

Try this meditation... (to be said in a gentle New Age manner)

Think of yourself sitting in a field of fresh green grass with flowers all around. The trees nearby are heavy with blossom and you can hear the gentle tweeting of birds amongst the branches. The sky above is a clear blue with only the occasional fluffy white cloud. You become aware of the sound of a stream burbling over rocks beside you. The water is crystal clear, so clear that you can right down to the bed of the stream. The water is ice cold on your hand as you hold down the person that has been annoying you so badly. In the clear sparkling water, you can see their hair floating around their head. You let them up to gasp for hair and - down again with a, push of your arm. And up - and down, until you feel relaxed and happy.

There! Don't you feel better now?! 😂

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Winterfellwonderland · 29/10/2018 21:53

Any smudging tips? My healer wants £40 to help me 🤣

gladheart · 29/10/2018 22:20

@TooManyPaws that made me chortle!

Elphame · 29/10/2018 22:25

@TooManyPaws - love it! I have a couple of people in mind who I could happily dunk multiple times in icy water!

PawneeParksDept · 29/10/2018 23:24

@speakout

It's the problem most of us share of picking up other people's energy. Someone I only deal with about 2 hours a week, is a lovely, lovely person, but the most chaotic energy, a frantic, frenetic energy that just feels like a million bees have entered the room!

@TooManyPaws

I've literally never been able to do those ! Something about them just makes me laugh

PawneeParksDept · 29/10/2018 23:24

@TooManyPaws posted too soon, yours is much better!

Have a look through our earlier 3 threads, there's loads about cleansing, smudging, purifying etc. in there.

As for people charging for 'helping', maybe I can put it into perspective, they have their hourly business rate, travel expenses to get to and from your home, supplying the kit they use and need to replace plus they'll spend some time with you evaluating what your needs are and afterwards explaining what they've done and probably spend time answering any of your follow-up questions, process the payment, pay tax on it, sort the VAT if they're registered.

If I need someone to do something at my house, say a plumber, their callout fee is at least £40 but that's just for them to get here and ring the doorbell.
I'm by no means saying you should pay the person, just trying to give an example of how much fixing something at a house or flat costs.

Cleansing is something you can do yourself, as I said, there are loads of ideas on the previous threads so do have a go if you feel you're interested in it. If you're smudging, be careful because some of the white sage bundles drop a lot of hot embers, you have to fan them to keep the level of smoke you need to purify the place and of course yourself before you start.

Winterfellwonderland · 30/10/2018 07:05

Blank
I totally understand that my healers rates cover her costs etc I obviously understand she has a business etc I just can't afford it right now so will try and do it myself that's all I meant.

speakout · 30/10/2018 07:11

Winterfellwonderland

Paying a healer or someone to cleanse your home is not really necessary.

Learn to do these things yourself.

I personally like to cleanse my home as I go, I know the sticky points, I know the space, I understand the timings, who may have been to visit etc. I am not a big sage smudge fan, I prefer to use my own herbs incense, charged waters, sounds, salt etc.
If money is a problem you could also work on opening your heart to abundance.

It's not my home really it's neighbours that are making my life hell. They are horrendous people who cause trouble for numerous other residents where we live. I caught their kid hitting and throwing rocks at my cat yesterday Sad I want to send positive energy their way in the hope that whatever makes them so angry and jealous of others is lifted. I really hope they didn't what makes them happy so they stop making others lives hard.

Winterfellwonderland · 30/10/2018 08:32

*I really hope they FIND what makes them happy so they stop making others lives hard.

Hoping to learn of you ladies x
