Just wanted to say it was REALLY GREAT meeting Panda yesterday I don't think we stopped talking once we met up, and the time flew by!

And DH and I had a GREAT time at the Bryan Adams concert - we had really good seats, and he was superb!

RL - paying for your friend, sounds like she has a really difficult time ahead of her...

notsofarnow · 13/05/2007 15:55

sorry last post wasn't really a prayer was it.

dc are at thier dad's for the first time - weird, so sat here with the puter not knowing what else to do

harrisey · 13/05/2007 15:55

Meant to let you know dh got on really well at the counsellor on Wed and is having 3 more sessions - and his depression and inability to handle emotions is not MY fault lol!

Could you pray for releif from the huge amount of snotters in the harrisey household. I hardly slept last night for coughing and there are green streaks everywhere with our runny noses. We're pretty under the weather.

CaptainCaveman · 13/05/2007 17:00

Praying for the snotty harriseys!

Hope you are all having lovely rainy sundays? It hasn't stopped!! how will I get my washing dry?

Had a lovely service this morning, then at communion, ds told our vicar it was his birthday. So, after the notices, our church always sing happy birthday each week to whosever birthday it is. Brian (vicar) called ds out to the front of the church with him, and he ran up bold as brass and stood on the steps so everyone could see him, and told everyone he was 'number 3' and that his favourite thing was 'lots of presents'. I had to wipe away a tear!!

ZipadiSuzy · 13/05/2007 17:07

Hia CC - nearly joined you at church this morning, sorry would have been lovely to sing Happy Birthday to 'MiniCC' but we overslept or rather I overslept!

mumtogusnalbie · 13/05/2007 17:29

Hi everyone - thanks for all your messages of support and it is a real comfort to know that everyone is praying for me.

CC - I had been a bit wary of taking the citalopram today but after reading your post I think i will.

I am still feeling really shaky and had my worst panic attack ever yesterday which lasted from 2.00pm until 10.00pm when I finally fell into an exhausted sleep at my mum and dads house.

My mum is staying with me tonight.

CC - thanks for the offer to CAT you - not really sure how to do it but I will try it over the next couple of days when i feel a little bit stronger.

I missed church today and feel very about this - I am sure though that God understands.

Thinking of you all and praying.

God Bless
xxxx

Notquitegrownup · 13/05/2007 17:54

Flying by - it's dh's birthday - to say hello. Haven't read all the posts - I'll catch up tomorrow.

MTGAA - big prayers for you, Hon.

Hearts - welcome!

Many thanks for your prayers for ds1 and I last week. It certainly does help to know that you guys are praying and we had some lovely God-incidences (not co-incidences, they were too obviously God offering us His reassurances). Your continuted prayers would be most welcome, that we might continue to know His peace as we try to build up new friendships here.

God bless all.

PandaG · 13/05/2007 20:11

Hello all!

Mary - I can only echo what you said, I really enjoyed meeting you (and DH), and only wish we could have spent more time together. Glad the concert was good too!

Rosey - will pray for your friend, that sounds a very difficult situation.

NSFN -praying that you will deal with the DC being at H's, and that it will be a good thing fo ryou to give you a bit of space.

CD - we had a Multipla, amd loved it. OUrs wasn't too heavy on the gas, and we didn't have anything go wrong in the time we had it. I found it very practical, and as a shorty liked the high driving position, but it was a company car and therefore new, so maybe there are more glitches as they get older! We went for a smaller, more environmentally sound car the next time, and then got into camping!

Suzy, continuing to pray for your panic attacks,

MTGAA, praying fo ryou too honey.

Hearts, hello and welcome. please keep posting, we are a friendly bunch

Snuffy, how you doing today honey?

xx

CaptainDippy · 13/05/2007 20:25

Prayers for strength as we struggle with bedtimes in the Dippy Household, please!!

Beginning to really get me down now.....

Grrrrrr!

Rosey - Lots of prayers for J. What an incomprehendably (think I just made that word up....) difficult sitaution to be in - praying for God to really intervene in her DH's life and to keep her faith rock solid at this fragile time .......

nsfn & Panda - Thank you for the comments on the Multipla, much appreciated ..... Definitely going to do some more research, esp into this Honda .......Any idea what the make is??

harrisey - that your DH got on so well with the Counsellor - Praying the next three sessions go as well - Praying for your snottyness too, poor things!!

mtgaa - Continuing to pray for you honey - Praying the new meds help lots.

Getting really with DDs now, so going to go and have a glass of wine and take some deep breaths in the conservatory where I can't hear them ......

notsofarnow · 13/05/2007 22:13

i just went onto honda site cd and had a look at it when a friend got one.

Need to post about today's meetings Godincidences but not now need to get to bed and get some sleep.

If anyone sees this before bed then pray that dd wakes up well tomorrow, she has a cough, temp, sore tummy and i've got work tomorrow.

harrisey · 13/05/2007 22:56

NTFN, praying for you as I head to bed!

Snotty harriseys are all tucked up in bed and sleeping except me - I cant sleep for coughing, I'm fine as long as I am upright but not when I lie doown. Have tried everything - co-codamol, cough medicine, hot toddy, large G&T, hot ribena, butterball (my Gran used to do this - ball of butter rolled in sugar and sucked - in me memory worked well but no joy tonight) and strpsils with the anaesthetic for your throat, but am still coughing!

I hate this - I get one really bad crappy cold every year and this winter thought I had missed it - ITS MAY- but here I am coughing and producing copious amounts of green goo!

ZipadiSuzy · 13/05/2007 23:10

UUUUURRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH! I hope you get better soon harrisey!

notsofarnow · 14/05/2007 07:03

harrisey hope you managed to get some sleep.

DD ended up in my bed most of night coughing and restless, still coughing this morning but seems ok so going to send her to nursery and see what happens, will take about 1/2 hour to get from work to her if she is poorly.

Praying for every one else, and tonight i will tell you about yesterday.

CaptainCaveman · 14/05/2007 07:27

Good morning from rainy nottingham, I'm glad I live on a hill or I'd be getting the boat to work this morning given all the rain we've had in the past 24 hours

Nice to see you again Sooz, it's much quieter without your posts. How you doing?

MTGAA - are you having to stop your other meds before taking citalopram? I had to wait 3 days (but had only been on Prozac for 10 days) and had the most awful panic/anxiety state from midday on the saturady until about 4 am on the sunday. I was literally stiff as a board because I was so tensed up and panicky. As you say, finally fell asleep exhausted. Thinking back that was absolutely the worst I felt - from the day I went to the gp to the morning after that enormous panic attack. Praying its the same for you and sending uber warm hugs. (ps. you're not crazy )

CD I dreamt I came to stay with you last night. You had a 2 bedroom house! The girls were all in one room sleeping on top of chests of drawers, on top of piles of washing!! Not sure where you and MrDippy slept but the dog had the other bedroom . Never heard you mention a dog but there you go, dreams are strange aren't they! Thanks for letting me stop

Continue to feel fabulous, thank you Lord for easing my state of mind and blessing me with happiness.

harrisey · 14/05/2007 09:18

MTGAA - just picked up you are suffering from depression/anxiety you poor thing. I had awful PND after each kid, and was very unwell for several years, but am well (fingers crossed) now adn have been off all medication for almost 2 years. If you want to email/Cat me then do, I'm always up for chatting about how I got through it all, and I have been through the dreaded medication switchover as well.

Got practically no sleep last night as I coughed so much. Dead sympathetic GP dh said its just a virus and will go away by itself, but I have pulled a muscle in my ribcage from coughing and I am sore ...... Supposed to be in college placement today but am going back to bed while the house is quiet - kids at school/nursery/out with nanny!

We are starting our new behaviour regime in teh Harrisey house today - kids cheeking us and shouting at us came to a head yesterday so today up went the sticker charts - for everyone. DD2 for putting on her shoes, ds for switching off plsystation when asked, dd1 for not yelling at her siblings and parents, me for not shouting and dh for not being grumpy. If we do it for a fortnight the kids get a trip to Toys R Us with £10 each to spend, and dh and I will get a babysitter!

harrisey · 14/05/2007 09:19

Oh and its SUNNY in Glasgow today - lovely lovely day!

CaptainDippy · 14/05/2007 10:48

Hello - Just managed to put DD3 down, wonder how long for .........Just heated up a bottle of EBM (morning cluster feeding driving my nips and I nuts!! )....Typical ..... I am feeling a bit over-whelmed tbh, but am ok - Enjoying the Peace & Quiet while DD's 2 & 3 are sleeping and DD1 is out with a friend ..... head feels so full up ......

ANYway ......

Hoping to go to the Zoo with girls, my mother & my grandmother this pm; so praying the relatively nice weather that we are currently experiencing holds out ..... .....

Praying that your DD gets better as the day goes on nsfn - and that you don't have to take time off work .....

Poor harrisey household!! [[[hugs]] Praying you all get better asap, not nice.

Fellow Captain - ROFL @ your dream - You are more than welcome to stay anytime, sweetie! ...... and no, we don't have a dog ..... can't stand 'em tbh!!

Right, need to eat cheese .......

Hia everyone, had a quietish weekend, but spent most of it on the internet looking for ideas for what DH could do for a living, (he's been offered redundancy)

Thank you for your support Mary, will speak to you soon. Looking forward to the second instalment!

CC - Hia, yip I am back together (humpty dumpty ) - did you find your marriage certificate

Harrisey - I'm glad its sunny in Glasgow, please send us some in Nottingham, we've had rain for days now! hope you are feeling better this morning, (I gather no chance of sympathy from a GP DH) does he ever get man flu?

CD - I hope you are enjoying your quiet time, I hope your sore bits get better soon and have you sorted a car out yet!

MTGA, CC,Prayers for all these nasty panic attacks and anxious moments

NQGU - Good for your God-incidence/s

PandaG - how did you do on your sponsered walk?

NSFN - hope your dd is better

ZipadiSuzy · 14/05/2007 13:40

I knew I'd miss someone hia Roseylea!

ZipadiSuzy · 14/05/2007 13:41

And another FA sorry, hia, how long have you got left?

roseylea · 14/05/2007 16:43

Hello all,
just a quick one to say hello and to say I am praying for you all.

Here's smething for you to watch - it's a bit retro! Keith Green was a christian singer and songwriter, not sure when (70s or 80s I think) , but he died in an aeroplane crash aged 28. I found a CD of his the other day and the lyrics are just so 'from the heart'. THe pics are a bit cheesy! O Lord, You're Beautiful

fannyannie · 14/05/2007 17:06

lol don't worry Suzy - I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow - DS1 nearly 2 weeks early, and my waters broke 1 week early with DS2.......and been having LOTS and LOTS of BH's this time round, at times I've been sat there timing them !

MaryBS · 14/05/2007 18:10

Virtual hug pls. Nothing that's happened now, but something a friend asked me about which opened old wounds a bit... I had to leave (to take DD to brownies) before I could talk to her properly about it, so its left me feeling a bit sensitive...

roseylea · 14/05/2007 19:29

[[hugs]] Mary. Praying for peace for you.

PandaG · 14/05/2007 19:49

hello all

big hug Mary - wish I'd given you a real one on Saturday - was a bit difficult on the tram! Praying for peace for you, amd for the opportunity to fully discuss with your friend of you feel it will be helpful.

thanks from me - DD dashed acros the road in front of a car after school this afternoon. It had to break sharply to avoid hitting her . I was really upset - thanks LOrd for keeping her safe. She is usually so sensible, I have no problems letting her be a few paces ahead of me, I'd just turned to finish a sentence to a friend who ws crossing the road behind me, and when I turned back DD was halfway across the road! My breathing is almost back to normal now ! and with DD, but thankful too!
