eww nice LOL, i dont get the same "disturbed" feeling looking at these ones that i do looking at the otherones though, i look at the other ones with sort of morbid facsination like im expecting the boy to suddenly jump out of my screen...lol

We had a copy of 'Tina' (on the J H Lynch link on the page you linked to) when I was a kid. My mum has always said that I made the name up because she swore it never really had a name or was just called 'gypsy girl'. Turns out it was the proper name of the painting all along.

paintings aren't feckin haunted, ffs, and that is a seriulsy obvious use of red light!

Frida Kahlo did some very pain filled art, though I think it is understandable. I like her work.

filly, u say paintings are not haunted, u may be right, u may be wrong, but imo as an artist paints he is channeling alot of his energys through his/her body be it neg energy or good energy, so i do believe that this could have an impact on the final picture, im not saying thatan artist can make the opbject of his paintings walk out of pictures and stuff LOL just that his energy can have an effect on the picture...o dear im doing that rambling thing again

I agree Loopy that a person's energy can go into a painting. Wouldn't have THRH in my house (shudder).

I looked at this about a year ago. I was freaked out for about two months afterwards. Felt horrible.

I am NOT going to click on the links (being the easily freaked out kind), but is it as disturbing as Phoebe's "Gladys" picture?

I'm glad someone else thinks so. I was convinced my house was haunted after I saw it. Maybe it was from being a bit stressed with lack of sleep (I was on maternity leave) but I remember feeling relieved everythime dh arrived home from work early or if he decided to take a day off. Sounds silly but it really affected me. I read the old thread on this painting and no one else seemed as freaked out as me, or else they just wouldn't admit it! That episode of Friends is hilarious.
