Hey Sooz what will your new name be? You could be CruiseySoozy to fit in with your church crawling. Or boozysuzy dependant upon alcohol intake! (hope I'm not casting aspertions on your name?!)

Well, I wrote a load of drivel yesterday but have also spent much of today writing. And do you know what - I think I've nearly finished bar the 'tidying' up and writing an executive summary. Finished piece should create a few laughs in the marking dept but heyho!
I ended up shouting at ds and dh yesterday as was getting v.stressed with amount of work left to do!

RL praying for your health and no nasty bugs to come your way.
Mary, praying for your job situation, its awful to be unhappy at work.
CD praying for your little dippy to arrive NOW (a little selfishly perhaps because I can't wait to find out what you;ve had!).

love and prayers to you all

mumtogusnalbie · 23/04/2007 19:43

Hi Everyone,

just a quick post because the sofa is calling me (as is Eastenders at 8!!)

Please forgive me for not posting individual comments to you all.

I continue to pray for everyone on this thread.

I have had a really grumpy today. Started at 4.15am this morning when DS1 woke me up getting into bed. I then started having really sinister dreams and felt quite 'disturbed' when I got up. I went to work and did all the normal things - school run, tea, bath, story time and bed - but I still don't feel quite settled. I know this is one of my symptoms of my anxiety disorder so would appreciate your prayers to see me through this blip.
I really lost it with DS1 this afternoon - he was really misbehaving in the Co-op and even left the shop at one point which scared me a bit to say the least. Anyway, after his bath time I got him into his pj's and was just rinsing the bath out before story time and he fell asleep so hopefully he was just tired and not entering a 'teenager' stage at 4.10!!!

Thinking about you all,

God Bless

CaptainCaveman · 24/04/2007 07:52

Morning! A little grey and overcast here but I'm still happy
Feel ok about my assignment, not the best in the world but who cares as long as I pass (apart from me who's secretly pernickity about perfection....)

Praying for you MTGAA, how are you feeling this morning?
When you read this Nanou1 how did the interview go?
Love the name change Zipadi , suits you having met you! How do you manage to look so fab btw with 3 kids?

praying for you all, may your day be filled with the Lord's blessings and your eyes open to see them xxxx

MaryBS · 24/04/2007 08:07

CCM - I'm like that with my assignments, but its really hard when you want to do your best and time constraints don't allow!

CD- praying that things happen for you soon, and you're back to your svelte self with a bundle of noise in your arms!

ZS - like the name change!

MTGAA - praying you got a good night's sleep and have a better day today.

Nanou - praying for that job. A friend told me at the w/e that her DH, who has just started going to church with her regularly, has expressed an interest in being confirmed! Praise God! (Just wish mine would show an interest...)

Now... Ezra, why do I keep thinking about Ezra? I know nothing about Ezra! I still have to decide on one more assignment. Is Ezra a good choice? Anyone like to suggest something interesting about Ezra? Is the fact I keep thinking "Ezra" an indication I should be writing about him? I haven't got any other ideas, except that as I've already picked and am working on my essay on Moses, it shouldn't be from the Pentateuch...

God bless all!

Mary

roseylea · 24/04/2007 09:41

Good morning!

Harrissey I'll be praying for you, and for the funeral this afternoon. Hope it is all that it should be.

M2G&A, how are you today? oooohhh, I know all about challenging dcs! They could try the patience of a saint, eh? Hang on in there.

CD how are you? And hey - you're not fat! You're pregnant!!! There is a difference!

Nanou, fantasic to hear about your confirmation! Congratulations! May God bless you lots at this special time (and sirt out the job situation for you!)

ZipadiSuzy love the new name!

Mary - how funny that ou mention Ezra! I am reading Ezra in my 'quiet times' atm and I am finding it so inspiring and interesting. It's when God calls his people out of exile in Babylon (think Daniel, Jeremiah) and calls them to rebuild the rubble that is Jerusalem. Haggai and Zecharaiah are prophets who inspire the people to keep going, and Nehemiah is when the walls of Jerusalem are rebuilt. (The current thinking is that Ezra-Nehemiah was originally written as one document). Also the book of Esther comes from the same period in Israel's history, only slightly later, so the 5 books (Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Esther) are best read together. They are all short so that helps!

I am getting so much out of reading Ezra (and the others) - not only is it a really exciting bit of Israel's history (eg. when the call goes out to say that the children of Israel can go back to Jerusalem if they want to, 42,000 people go back! 42,000!!!) you can also read the books as a spiritual allegory of what happens when God calls people back to Himself (rebuilding the damaged and neglected image of God in you as an individual, and the much-neglected kingdom of God on earth). There is so much in there - prayer (esp. intercession), leadership, spiritual battle, the fulfilment of God's prmoises, the providence of God...so much to talk about that is so inspiring and exciting. (Oh dear - I always get so excited when I talk about the Bible!! )

Anyway, on that note, fair maidens, I bid thee adieu!

CaptainDippy · 24/04/2007 10:50

Feeling v.heavy and waddly today ..... 1st time I've really felt like this .....

Harrisey - Praying for your gran's Funeral today - strength & peace to you and your family. Will be particularly remembering you at 2pm. xx

Ooooh, Suzy - Just looked at your profile, but only see pics of your GORGEOUS children - Where are YOU!!!? Callum is a little heart-breaker, isn't he!!?

ooo last night DH had to go down to the shop after he came in from work to buy a TV Licence (he's a TV Licence Sales officer and someone had paid cash - so he has to go to a paypoint machine to get the licence before it's credited to him). Anyhow, asked him if he could get me some Frij and Pickled Onion Monster Munch (current cravings.........wierdly the same as DS1) - went to get some cash out my wallet and he said not to worry (last few months it's been very much "you sort your 'extras' out and I'll sort mine". And he did indeed buy them for me.

THEN even more amazing - when he was on his way to bed he popped his head round the study door said goonight and went out again.......then came back in again - leant down and put both arms around me to give me a hug .

Think we're slowly getting there again

(Oh and we went to Kiddicare on Saturday and got LOADS of stuff - it's amazing how much stuff God will help you put in the back of a Ford Fiesta: Pushchair Box, Carrycot Box, Car Seat Box, Stairgate (in box), Cot Mattress, 1 new booster seat, multiple bags with smaller items in.........oh and lets not forget the DS's in their car seats/booster seats ).

MaryBS · 24/04/2007 22:13

Just wanted to say "G'night all and God bless".
