Dutchoma · 18/03/2017 21:03

BES has no computer at the moment and has sent me a very comprehensive list of prayers partners.
Rather than put this is the middle of an ongoing thread I thought it would be better to start a new thread, so all the names stay at the top.

amberlight - for her work supporting people with autism, and for health and happiness for her and her family.

BlackEyedSusan - for all that she has to juggle as a single mum, for ds who has ASD, dd who might have ASD and dyspraxia (waiting for appointments) and for her mum. Also for the computer to be mended

Bloomed- New year, fresh start

Cocoaleaves - for issues around the safety of her DS.

Colabottles64- struggling with infertility.

DancingUnicorn - new to the thread, most welcome

Dontbesilly - for strength as she grieves the loss of her dad, for her DD's school issues, and for Dont's recovery from a car accident. For DH and his recovery from a heart attack and finding her phone!

drspouse - for happiness and a warm welcome in her new church and for dcs

DutchOma - with gratitude for all she does to support people on this thread and elsewhere.

EddSimcox - for her dd, for her relationship with DP and her parents and her growing faith.

FaithLoveandHope - for her anxiety and depression to lift and for her to be able to avoid falling into despair and self-harm, and for her relationship with her DSD.

girlandboy- family and faith

Lissette-anxiety and thanks for lots of prayers for others on this thread.

MadHairDay - for her health, and those pesky lungs. For her friend.

Musicposy- CT scans, diagnosis and treatment, giving thanks that some progress with diagnosis has been made

Nickel- for church and her disability, and a friend moving on from DV

NoRoomForALittleOne - Giving thanks that he operation was successful. For freedom from pain and recovery.

Orchidflower1- for help with her anxiety and the relationship with her husband

PositiveAttitude - for her whole family, but especially her DD1 who has been depressed, her dgs who was born early and poorly, her mum and dad, her DH and his work. Above all, we pray for PA herself, who is always there for others when they need her, for her studies, and for a potential house-move.

QoF - for her relationship with her DH.

sadandanxious- for help with anxiety

StillSmallVoice MIL has an invasive malignant melanoma for dd and historical abuse investigation.

Tunnocks - after the loss of her husband
Trazzletoes- for her young DS, Joe, who is having treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital- bereavement, losing her DH

TUO - who has had to withdraw from the thread for a while through business in real life.

Zombie clan- remembering Candy and MummyLin

And also thinking of friends who haven't visited for a while, or who pop in only occasionally, including: abbsismyhero, ALittleFaith, Anjelica27, Aphie, applesandpears33, Badders123 Bluetinkerbell, clementineorange, CoolCarrie, DancingUnicorn, FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile guinessgirl (how is your friend?)HardyLeodicean itshappenedagain, Kaykat, JugglingFromHereToThere, ktef, LarrytheCucumber legohurtswhenyoustandonit,LifeOfBriony,LittleBootsTheBabe, Mary, originalmavis, ozymandiusking Pandora97, pklme SESthebrave shortscotty,SingaSong12 SparkyStars Sugarpiehoneyeye The Woollyback'sWife Weegiemum, ZippidiSoozi and others.

it was lovely in the car, and lovely in the library though I was cold...

I am back to being too hot though. it was cloudier than predicted so better than it could have been, though the thermometer in on the building near here was saying 30 and the car thermometer went up to 31.

it is definitely too hot to be dealing with autistic boys. and finding out that someone has not passed on his iep again. grrrrrr.

CocoaLeaves · 19/06/2017 21:50

I have a migraine; awful dizziness preceded it today. Not keeping on top of anything.

I am praying that God holds all in need in His heart and keeps us safe. I pray for peace on the streets tonight and people to act in good faith to one another. For myself, I pray to keep letting God's love shape what I do and say. I pray to be able to keep walking this path, even though I have stopped to rest.

I will pray my way through the opening post. May God be with you all Flowers

BlackeyedSusan · 20/06/2017 07:35

how are you feeling today cocoa?

Madhairday · 20/06/2017 07:54

Hope you're feeling better today Cocoa Flowers

Praying for a better day for you BES.

This weather is making me very breathless. Going out this morning so bit worried about being outside for a while. Sooooo hot. Worse for dd who is still doing GCSEs - she'll be finished on Friday Smile

BlackeyedSusan · 20/06/2017 10:07

thanks. feeling a bit flat. I think it is tiredness and a weird nightmare and the heat and waiting for ex to be paid so I can do the car tax and mot, which those who have been on here a while know always send me into a bit of a flap. I need a slap round the face with a wet fish/kick up the rear.

self administering free coffee and Pachelbel in the library. and air conditioning.

how are the lungs? hoping you can breathe better and get some cooling air. praying now for a lovely area of breathable air for you.

Dutchoma · 20/06/2017 10:45

I dreamt about my mother and toads. She was sitting on the grass and they were popping up all round her.
There is a bit of a breeze here today which is very nice.

OP posts:
BlackeyedSusan · 20/06/2017 11:02

mine was definitely weirder. upsettingly weirder. it is the hot weather and disturbed sleep, being logical, hope you are benefitting from the cool breezes.

I am sitting with my fleece on under the air conditioning unit in the library and I am gloriously cold. I have been reading through some of the NT on the computer and listening to pachelbel's cannon in d on repeat. so feeling a bit more able to cope with being awake.

I have to ring dd's secondary school later and sort out paperwork so feeling a little stressed as these are my nemeses( can you have plural?)

DancingUnicorn · 22/06/2017 13:56

I would appreciate your prayers. Yesterday I was overjoyed to get a positive pregnancy test. However, I have been suffering from light bleeding most of the past two days. I am not coping well with not knowing whether or not this pregnancy will work out. And I am not coping well with the idea of having another miscarriage, even though this is obviously incredibly early.

BlackeyedSusan · 22/06/2017 14:48

that is hard, DU. I lost a baby before bleadding on and off throughout another pregnancy. (I will attenpt to take him to the library later and he is in an afterschool performance so that will be erm tricky) I hope this pregnancy sticks.

prayer for aforesaid small boy and school preformance, and my patience please.

Lissette · 22/06/2017 14:50

Prayers for you Dancing.

And for you two Bes

Madhairday · 22/06/2017 14:52

Praying for you dancing Flowers

Bit cooler today, phew. Dd has her last gcse tomorrow - yay.

BlackeyedSusan · 22/06/2017 14:56

that will be a relief MHD

CocoaLeaves · 23/06/2017 18:12

Oh DancingUnicorn this must be an anxious time for you; many sticky vibes and prayers for you.

MHD I was meaning to ask how the new medication is helping, prayers for comfort and healing for you.

bes how was the performance?

Prayers all around Flowers still very tired here.

Dutchoma · 23/06/2017 18:35

How are you DancingUnicorn?

OP posts:
DancingUnicorn · 23/06/2017 19:37

Thank you all so much for your prayers. I am feeling calmer. Things seem a little better than before, but I know it is a long journey ahead!

Cocoa prayers you can get some rest, in mind and body and spirit. May God hold you gently and refresh your soul.

Prayers for peace for everybody.

Lovely Oma, how are you?

Dutchoma · 23/06/2017 20:07

I have been struggling with no energy at all in the heat, but feel better now it is cooler. I am going to a 'Come and Sing' day tomorrow under the direction of David Hill, the director of the BBC singers. That should be excellent.

DancingUnicorn · 23/06/2017 20:20

Oh that will be wonderful!! Have a fabulous time!

BlackeyedSusan · 23/06/2017 22:39

I have been eying my hot point only half working fridge freezer with suspicion after the news of the cause of the fire in Grenfell, only to have my panasonic microwave over heat behind me. Thank God I felt it before it got any hotter as it was very hot. we had cold baked beans but at least the potatoes were cooked.

CocoaLeaves · 24/06/2017 08:08

Oh bes that was lucky (short term) but unlucky long term. My fridge also needs replacing.

Oma I hope you have a lovely day today Smile

I am joining with the weird dreams, in the midst of which was a letter which said the Lord was watching over me.

DancingUnicorn · 24/06/2017 08:16

Very apt cocoa.

Hopefully all your kitchen appliances behave themselves today BES!

CocoaLeaves · 24/06/2017 09:34

I know Dancing, I was willing my asleep brain to stay there while I read it. I keep praying. Another part of the dream I was with STBXH (!) and I did not have my glasses, so could not properly see. That was how it was for a long time. But then I wonder what I am still not seeing. I am praying for God's guidance.

I am praying for you too Dancing, every day you have, your little bean grows stronger.

BlackeyedSusan · 24/06/2017 12:14

just got the very old toaster and ex's magimix that are behaving.

cooker, fridge freezer washing machine and microwave are poorly or terminal.

prayers for getting my arse into gear and clearing up the kitchen would be appreciated. there is cricket on longwave so that will help as I can not hear it in theliving room as that radio keeps clicking off longwave, usually at the point someone is out or getting a six, there fore I have to mooch round the rest of the flat where there is nowhere to sit and rest, so I have to keep working.

DancingUnicorn · 24/06/2017 23:16

How was your concert oma?

Hope everybody had calm and peaceful days.

Dutchoma · 25/06/2017 07:19

It was such a lovely event. We practised for a service of Reform and Renewal in the 500th year after the Reformation. So there were elements of Choral Evensong in it, but it did not follow that completely. We were supposed to sing a piece by Bairstow, but nobody knew or liked it, so we did Greater love has no man by John Ireland. The choir was divided 50/50 between children and adults with a strong male section which was wonderful. David Hill was a tireless conductor, really kind. All in all it was marvellous.

OP posts:
DancingUnicorn · 25/06/2017 09:08

Oh I love that Ireland! It's gorgeous, we sang last week. I sing choral evensong fairly regularly when I drag myself up to my choir. It's an hour and a half away, so don't go every week. What Bairstow were you supposed to sing?
