Dutchoma · 18/03/2017 21:03

BES has no computer at the moment and has sent me a very comprehensive list of prayers partners.
Rather than put this is the middle of an ongoing thread I thought it would be better to start a new thread, so all the names stay at the top.

amberlight - for her work supporting people with autism, and for health and happiness for her and her family.

BlackEyedSusan - for all that she has to juggle as a single mum, for ds who has ASD, dd who might have ASD and dyspraxia (waiting for appointments) and for her mum. Also for the computer to be mended

Bloomed- New year, fresh start

Cocoaleaves - for issues around the safety of her DS.

Colabottles64- struggling with infertility.

DancingUnicorn - new to the thread, most welcome

Dontbesilly - for strength as she grieves the loss of her dad, for her DD's school issues, and for Dont's recovery from a car accident. For DH and his recovery from a heart attack and finding her phone!

drspouse - for happiness and a warm welcome in her new church and for dcs

DutchOma - with gratitude for all she does to support people on this thread and elsewhere.

EddSimcox - for her dd, for her relationship with DP and her parents and her growing faith.

Orchidflower1- for help with her anxiety and the relationship with her husband

PositiveAttitude - for her whole family, but especially her DD1 who has been depressed, her dgs who was born early and poorly, her mum and dad, her DH and his work. Above all, we pray for PA herself, who is always there for others when they need her, for her studies, and for a potential house-move.

QoF - for her relationship with her DH.

sadandanxious- for help with anxiety

StillSmallVoice MIL has an invasive malignant melanoma for dd and historical abuse investigation.

Tunnocks - after the loss of her husband
Trazzletoes- for her young DS, Joe, who is having treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital- bereavement, losing her DH

TUO - who has had to withdraw from the thread for a while through business in real life.

Zombie clan- remembering Candy and MummyLin

And also thinking of friends who haven't visited for a while, or who pop in only occasionally, including: abbsismyhero, ALittleFaith, Anjelica27, Aphie, applesandpears33, Badders123 Bluetinkerbell, clementineorange, CoolCarrie, DancingUnicorn, FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile guinessgirl (how is your friend?)HardyLeodicean itshappenedagain, Kaykat, JugglingFromHereToThere, ktef, LarrytheCucumber legohurtswhenyoustandonit,LifeOfBriony,LittleBootsTheBabe, Mary, originalmavis, ozymandiusking Pandora97, pklme SESthebrave shortscotty,SingaSong12 SparkyStars Sugarpiehoneyeye The Woollyback'sWife Weegiemum, ZippidiSoozi and others.

Epsom salts bath cocoa. The magnesium in the salts helps you to relax. Stay no more than 20 mins in bath and don't use soap or shampoo, just relax. Boots stock Epsom salts.

CocoaLeaves · 30/04/2017 09:32

Thank you, I was just going to come on to the thread and pray as I cannot stop crying, I have deep sea bath salts, is that the same?
I need to be able to cope, this whole process will last several months

Dutchoma · 30/04/2017 11:34

Cocoa Sending a virtual nice, white, recently ironed handkerchief, so you can blow your nose several times and wipe the tears away. Make sure you drink a full glass of water to keep hydrated.

BlackeyedSusan · 30/04/2017 14:05

prayers for cocoa and don't

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 14:06

Cocoa praying for you, for peace, for sleep, for faithfulness. I cannot imagine your situation, but I pray that you will feel the safety of God's love surrounding you.

BlackeyedSusan · 30/04/2017 14:14

roll-up, rollup ladies and gentlemen, the entertainment of the day is here.

ex says he will be home at 2-2.30... last time he arrived back at 3.45 so place your bets on the actual arrival time.

dd has bet: 3.15
I am going with 3.30 [hopeful]

Lissette · 30/04/2017 16:28

I'm going with 16.07 Bes

Cocoa Epsom salts have magnesium in them and are different from the sea salts. When you bathe in it you supposedly absorb some magnesium which is the mineral that helps with stress. You can also get magnesium mineral supplements to take as part of your diet.

Praying for you and don't . I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time.

CocoaLeaves · 30/04/2017 20:15

Thank you Lissette I normally have the Pukka herbal night time tea, but have run out, so I will get some magnesium, tea and Epsom salts tomorrow. Nonetheless, I did have a long bath this morning and got out for the day with DS and a dear friend of mine.

I am tidying the house which has suffered over the last few days. Thank you all for your prayers, I am so very grateful. This too is life, and I am blessed with every day. The Lord gave me many days last year to recover and prepare, and clarity in the early months of this year to start this process. I would not go back on that.

bes i hope it was not too late.

Prayers all around, my prayers and thoughts will become less self-centred in coming days Flowers

CocoaLeaves · 30/04/2017 20:15

And thank you for the handkerchief, Oma we are out of tissues

BlackeyedSusan · 30/04/2017 21:28

omgoodness.

dd has the magic touch. she told him how disappointed she was when he was late last time. she told him again when he rang yesterday and it seems to have sunk in... he rang at 2.23... ie: on time.

we were not ready. he is normally late. I was running to his time so was feeding the children lunch when he rang.

Lissette · 30/04/2017 23:22

Watch magnesium supplements Cocoa - diarrhoea ( milk of magnesia effect!). I had to resort to epsom baths only. Some people who are on the autistic spectrum find the baths calming too.
You aren't being self-centred - you are trying to cope.

I stand corrected on 16.07 Bes!

Peaceful Sunday here. I was looking forward to communion in both parts but had a cold and didn't want to give it to anyone by drinking from the chalice.

CocoaLeaves · 01/05/2017 19:46

I miss Church. It is calling me. I had the thought reading your post Lissette that I should just get in touch with the minister at my church and explain things and DS' needs and see what she says. I am trying to keep things manageable for him, so it is small steps. I hope your cold improves.

I have magnesium now and my night time tea. No Epsom salts, yet, still to get these. Thank you again Flowers

bes I guess that means ex had to go to your schedule, then. Glad he did not come late.

My prayers tonight are for healing for all those who need it; thinking of mhd in particular- also dont - and everyone in need of prayers for calm and peace.

SESthebrave · 01/05/2017 22:59

Cocoa - prayers for you at the moment. Please go easy on yourself and I pray that you get some decent sleep tonight.

MHD - I'm sorry for the loss of your friends and pray for all those grieving them. I also pray for your lungs and health at the moment.

Lissette - prayers that your cold disappears quickly

BES - prayers for your computer and also wow at DDs influencing skills!

We've had a busy weekend and I didn't make it to church yesterday. DS's behaviour has generally been better but DH heads off early tomorrow morning again for a few days so please pray he doesn't play up again with the change.

CocoaLeaves · 02/05/2017 22:22

Prayers for a peaceful household SES
Thank you for your prayers. I am off to give sleep a go.
Prayers for all in need of God's love Flowers

BlackeyedSusan · 03/05/2017 16:07

Lissette · 03/05/2017 22:10

Don't forget your diamond sword Bes Wink

girlandboy · 03/05/2017 22:33

Could I ask you to remember my husband in your prayers as he goes for his cancer surgery tomorrow please. It's going to be a lengthy operation to remove his thyroid and also a neck dissection to remove his lymph nodes. Please pray for his surgeon too. Thanks.

BlackeyedSusan · 03/05/2017 22:44

prayers girl.

Dutchoma · 03/05/2017 22:52

BlackeyedSusan · 04/05/2017 13:04

more prayers for operation

DancingUnicorn · 04/05/2017 13:09

Been praying girl. Hope he is doing ok. And you too, remember to take care of yourself through these times too. 💐

Madhairday · 04/05/2017 13:22

Praying, girlandboy. Flowers

Also praying for you Cocoa and you BES.

Sorry for quietness. Really been very ill this past fortnight and just washed out from it.

BlackeyedSusan · 04/05/2017 14:14

are you feeling better yet mhd.

Lissette · 04/05/2017 14:48

MHD I hope that stabby pain when breathing has gone. Prayers for strength for you.

Girlandboy my mother had her thyroid removed many years ago. Thyroid problems are my family's speciality. I'll be praying for your husband and for his highly skilled surgical team. My thyroid issue went into remission while I was praying to St Theodore Guerin at the time (she's female like Julian of Norwich Wink) so I'll call on her again for your dh. You can go into remission with my condition, it's just very, very unlikely. 10 years in remission now!
