Welcome Speedymam

Will pray fro you regarding Sunday school. Do you have a church in mind to go to? If not, maybe one of us on here could recommend somewhere.

speedymama · 04/12/2006 16:41

I will take them to the local CofE church where we were married.

worzella · 04/12/2006 17:03

Still reading and occasionally posting.... please continue to pray for our minister who needs a further operation to stem the leakage of spinal fluid...

Also please pray for DS2 who is being a complete pain at bedtime and getting up almost as soon as we've left the room. He gets put back promptly but gets up again... 9pm last night and then he's up at 6!! This then wakes DS1 and DD who at 4 months has probably been up at 5!!

Hegland - so sorry to hear of your MC - I've had 3 so i do know how hard it is... i had to tell people though although I know different people react in different ways...praying that you get through the darkest times

MaryBS - praying for you and DH

PandaG - like the Christmas name - hope life's a little less hectic now

And for anyone else - I pray that God would reveal his will in your situations and that you would have space and peace this advent time

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 04/12/2006 18:45

Hello - Hectic day tonight and church meeting tonight - Does it ever stop!!!?

to nasty virus Texas honey - praying you all get over it asap. I personally would take the time off work to recover - you don't want people at work getting it and you need to get your strength up too. You are NOT being a slacker at all - enjoy the rest and make sure DH gives you some TLC when he is around!!!!! How are you feeling this evening??

Hello Hegland - Good to have you here honey!! No system for posting - just do it as and when! I am so so so sorry to hear about your MC, how horribly heart-breaking for you and your DH. I am praying you can come to terms with this sad event in some way. Wish there was more I could say.....[[hugs]]

Praying for you Mufti honey. [[hugs] Hang in there and keep posting .....

Awwww, Panda, I am glad your Mini Pandas were so lovely and sensible lighting the Avent candle and that you had such a super time!

I am glad it is not just me Sooz, my two are terrible ...... Did you maange to get the toothpaste cleaned up ok??

Hello speedymamma - Glad you found the courage to post - keep doing it - we really are a nice bunch!! Praying that you stick to your resolution of taking the Twins to Sunday School in the New Year - If you wanna chat to anyone about taking twins to church, try MarsLady or Sooz who regularly post on here - they both have twins and lots of advice / sympathy, I expect!! How old are your two??

Praying for your Minister as he goes for the further op, Worzella - Thank you for keeping us posted. Praying for you and your DS re: bedtime, having v.similar problems with our DD1 who shares a room with DD2. How old is your DS?? Drives you completely nuts, doesn't it!!!!? [[[hugs]]]

Speaking of the girls ......

worzella · 04/12/2006 20:09

DS2 was 2 in October - but tonight he went to bed at 7.15 with no issues!! (DS1 was 5 in Nov, and so life is busy....

longwaytogo · 04/12/2006 21:59

evening all am really struggling. Ok now but broke down in work today, just finding the worrying about him overwhelming. Feel so helpless and as you know I haven't been great myself so this on top of everything else just seems too much.

sorry I always seem to be moaning don't i?

MaryBS · 04/12/2006 22:09

LWTG - sorry to hear things still aren't so good. Don't worry about moaning - I seem to be doing enough of that myself! {hug}

I just took myself out for a drive. DH finally decided to phone up to see where I was after I'd been out for 1 1/2 hours. Although by then I was feeling a little better - if he'd phoned any earlier, I'd have probably hung up on him!

sleepysooz · 04/12/2006 22:39

Speedymamma - welcome, my name is soozi, I also have dts although not so much 'darling' more 'destructive' DD & DS 3yo and 10yo DS - life is very hectic, I used to go to church everyweek until things got a little noisy with the twins! so I will go along with your 'New Year Challenge' and try that myself!

LWTG and MaryBS - I am soooo sorry your both having a rough time atm, my prayers are with you for (dare I say it Mary) patience and strength in your hour of need! lots of hugs

CDCWAB (CD) - thanks yes we did get all the toothpast off the walls and in hair and off clothes, I think they even cleaned the toilet with toothpaste! DH gave them a bath, the little minxs' aaahhh they look so cute all nice and clean tucked up in bed and 'FAST ASLEEP' thats a little better, still having visits from HV, she is such a support, I am sooo lucky!
By the way I have never seen a pregnant santa!

MayMay · 05/12/2006 10:54

Hi guys, haven´t been around much lately but thought I would quickly post about my SIL...

My mum just rang from the UK... they rushed her into hospital over the weekend as her breathing is laboured due to the infection so she has STILL not started chemo... she is on max morphine. Not good news.

My cousin who is the pastor who used to live in SA has been in touch and has asked to visit her and my brother said she can so let´s hope and pray she can "finish off" what I started with the letter and that Sandy will accept Jesus as Lord b4 it´s too late.

I fear I am not going to get to see her when I go back in January, that it will be too late and I can´t afford another flight in the meantime!!!!

My brother is totally broken.

sandcastlesforanaussiexmas · 05/12/2006 12:00

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappyNewYe, thank you! I will be doing so too, but would mena lalot to have some one along side me.

harrisey · 05/12/2006 12:15

Essays are in!! Praise God!
Only one left to do and its for next Monday adn its my favourite subject so no bother
In Scottish, would best be translated 'aye, right!' I think!!

nearlythree · 05/12/2006 12:57

Can we have a look at the 'pray to whatever deity' thread, there is a family and community needs our prayers.

MaryBS · 05/12/2006 12:59

Very quick visit as am at work. Praying for all of you who have asked for prayers.

Well done Harrisey on the essays.

I went out last night for a drive. DH was so cold towards me - although he did ask me if I was alright (I said no). I was so worried he didn't love me anymore.

Couldn't ask him - couldn't face sitting there, so I went out. Found it so difficult to pray, so just "offered us up to the Lord". I'd been out nearly 90 mins (ended up in Tescos because I was fed up of driving), up to that point I'd decided that if he rang me, I'd just hang up. Then I felt "what good would that do?", and decided yes I would answer his call, and 2 mins later he called - asking when I was coming home. I went home, and talked a little bit, but tbh, we were both so shattered, that we went to bed. Anyway, he does still love me, but is under such intense pressure at work, he is struggling to cope with life . So things are a little easier in terms of how we are together - for better for worse and all that! Thanks everyone for your prayers - please continue to pray for us! And Sooz - yes you can tell me to be patient! I suffer from impatience just like everyone else!

Please pray for my SIL and my nephew (7) and niece (8). They are really struggling with my brother being in Iraq. My nephew has stopped eating, and won't do anything at school. He is very slight and has a heart defect as it is. And with him, its no good saying he'll eat when he's hungry, as he won't (he's had eating problems before). He is really worried that his dad is going to die in Iraq. I've found out how to send my brother an "e-bluey" so I might know more when he replies about how he is getting on over there.

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 05/12/2006 14:40

Hello! Am at work and just catching up here - only chance I am going to get as I am soooo hectic this week!!!!

[[hugs]] lwtg - Hang in there honey and keep posting, prayers and thoughts are with - We all love and care about you on here and so does your Heavenly Father who made you, so keep going .....

LOL @ "I've never seen a PG Santa" Sooz - well, that's me!!

SandCastle - I am heart-broken for your poor niece. I am praying for her as she comes to terms with the terrible thing that has happened. She has been so brave, having to give birth etc. It must be even harder with her mum being PG too. Please keep us up-to-date.

Awwww, kelly1978 - Thank you for your post of thanks - It was a pleasure - continuing to pray for you and your little family as you race through this final hurdle and I pray so much for you to have such joy and happiness as a family, especially now at this special Christmas time!

Glad you got to bed / sleep ok last night with no tears, Hegland. That is wonderful - a real breakthrough!!

MayMay - Sorry to hear that your SIL still hasn't overcome the infection and that things are not looking good atm. Big prayers for her and for your bro. xxxx Praying that God will do amazing things through your cousin.

Yey!! ... for getting essays in, Well Done harrisey - Good news!!

Mary - I am glad you managed to have some sort of honest talk with your DH after your drive. Continuing to pray you can sort things out - Praying for him in his work stresses. Praying hard for your SIL and DS and DD as they struggle to cope with DH / daddy being in Iraq. Praying especially for their DS, that he would eat soon. Have you heard from your bro? How is he getting on?

Gosh, all is still mad in DippyLand - people we are buying from say they can't move til the 20th Dec now!!!!!!!!!! Feeling a bit low and tbh - Please pray we can complete on the 15th or before as agreed, pleeeease!! Thank you! Also, pray for DH as he has some sort of tummy bug and is feeling v.sick - just what we need right now ........

sleepysooz · 05/12/2006 15:20

CD - hope your DH is ok, you've not long got over the last tummy bug [grrrrr]

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 05/12/2006 16:22

I know!

OMGosh!!! I have just completely SHOUTED, like, as in GONE BALLISTIC, at the Estate Agent. Poor guy, nothing to do with him really; but he called me up and said the couple we're buying from are absolutely begging to be allowed a completion date of Dec 20th. I am soooooo - we have two children under 3, one on the way and it is CHRISTMAS!!!!! It is their solicitor who has been arsing around and delaying everything and now this!!!?

Have no idea what to do ..... PRAY!!!!!!

longwaytogo · 05/12/2006 16:45

oh cd moving house is tough enough as it is without the added pressure of christmas and being pregnant. Really praying that a miracle happens.

marybs you are a wonderful wonderful person and I know how frustrating it is when dh's shut themselves off but its a male thing (not that that helps at all) praying that the pressure at work eases and that he starts to learn to communicate again.

harrisey I remember the days of getting essays in at Bible college not a nice feeling but so fulfilling once their in.

I know there are so many others of you and I havent forgottn you honest but it just seems that i spend time goig through everyone instead of praying.

Dh is feeling a bit better today - ended up in tears at one point when someone from church rang and offered us £1000 towards the car.

G oing to look at another car tomorrow so pray that its the right one at the right price and that we get the deposit back from the garage that we have messed around i guess

Also that the gear box repairs on ours haven't cost too much as that should be back with us tomorrow with bits that he's picked up from around the floor to fix it with to tide us over part exing it (only joking with bits from the floor btw) but their trying to do it as cheap as poss for us.

right dc whinging [sigh]
