Hi... me popping in again.

I could do with a bit of personal prayer. Don't like to give details but could you pray that God would meet my need.

Also, the DTs aren't very well. Lots of green gunk issuing forth.

Thanks

DingDongMarilyonHigh · 19/12/2006 16:04

Praying for Frosty and family. Maymay, praying for your SIL and family and for God to come into your DH's life (and mine too!)

Happy Birthday to RL for tomorrow! I never got a cake on my birthday - I refuse to make one for myself, its up to DH to sort!

Sandcastles - continuing to pray for your niece - God bless her, that she should have such faith in Him. Praying for her DF, it is so so hard

NQSTM - how are you feeling today? Better I hope. Praying for God to send you peace.

Praying for peace too, for CD as her move progresses. Praying for bridges to be mended and wounds healed in time for Christmas, as we celebrate our Lord's birth.

Sermon is progressing slowly. I wrote some of it last night, but felt it was too downbeat for Christmas, so I started afresh this morning (at work!) and wrote a new beginning for it, the old one will become the middle, but will "improve" it, and I know what I'm going to say for the end. Please pray for inspiration for me!

CCM - how is your DSis? Praying for her and you too - you two have been through SO much!

LWTG and Sooz - not heard much from you lately either. Still remembering you and your families in my prayers every day.

God bless

Mary

MayMay · 19/12/2006 17:06

God bless you all X

Still waiting to hear if we're all honorary aunties to WB's baby... WB have you had him/her yet? Praying for you...

roseylea · 20/12/2006 07:53

Hello all!

Can I just pop in with a quick prayer request? It's my birthday today but my Crohn's Disease is so bad that I was awake most of the night with diarrhoea and I really don't know how I'm going to get through the day energy-wise.

Work is finishng early today and I'm taking the cs round to my mums for a little tea party with my sis and her dcs. Please could you pray that it would be lovely and that I'd have the energy to enjoy it? And that my silly body would sort itself out and stop attacking itself?

Thank you lovelies!

roseylea · 20/12/2006 08:19

Hello again!

God answers prayer! I've been listening to a christian worship music CD and it has so lifted my spirits and given me the strength that I need. One song has these lines in it:

...And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle
and I will soar with you
Your spirit leads me on
in the power of your love.

It's from the verse in Isaaih when it says that even young people lose their strength sometimes bu those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength and they will rise up on wings like eagles.

It was just so what I needed to hear.

Thank you God!

DingDongMarilyonHigh · 20/12/2006 08:43

Praying for you RL, and Praise God for His message to you!

sleepysooz · 20/12/2006 11:39

Thanks MaryBS still here, still reading thread, still praying for guidance with jesus, still poorly, still not done christmas cards, still not done christmas presents, still not done housework, still not still!

BUT HAPPY, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

CaptainCavemanisSanta · 20/12/2006 12:22

Happy Birthday Rosylea! (dare we ask how old....). Sp please God has answered your prayers and lifted your spirits!

Thankyou for your prayers for my dsis - she's just surviving at the moment. The clinic told her not to attempt to give up drinking until she starts treatment, as the withdrawals will be too bad. I never knew how bad her problem was but she has been drinking a combination of wine and rum (2.5 bottles a day) for years (about 15 years).
Good news is she goes back to work tomorrow after a month off - the dts were too bad for her to work (thats withdrawal dts not darling twins!!).
Please pray that she can last longer each day without a drink so she is able to function at work.

I'm off this morning with ds as nursery closed for little Charlotte's funeral. Been to see an old friend and had a lovely catch up. Ds hiding in cardboard boxes at the moment, claiming to be scared of our cat!

Sorry for long post, must just share this with you. Took ds out last weekend to the park and he was asking "who made the sky, who made me, who made daddy etc". Each time I said "God did". After the 20th question "who made the trees" I replied "God did, he's very clever isn't he". "yes" says ds all serious. Then he turned to me and said excitedly "God needs a sticker mummy!"

Bless him, he even offered to give God one of his mr men stickers!

love and prayers to you all xxx

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappyNewYe · 20/12/2006 19:35

That is so cute CCM - how did the funeral go? Praying for her family and the nursery staff

Happy Birthday Rosey!

Had a good day, been out with Worzella and another couple of friends, to take DC to the theatre, then back to one friend's house for tea for the children. Was a lovely start to the Christmas holidays. Thanks God for fab Christian friends.

worzella · 20/12/2006 21:57

Happy Birthday RoseyLea...

OK Panda - you've 'outed me' and I I've read on the BBRU thread this is supposed to encourage me to post more.... it's kind of worked so far..

Weirdbird- any news...

May May - how are things with DH, and LWTG and Mary... praying for all marriages over the Christmas period and beyond of course

Our minister is improving but still need prayers.. it is still planned to do a blood patch after Christmas to reduce the leakages of spinal fluids.

And I'd like prayer for energy and the feeling of not coping with the 3 DCs....

Notquitesotiredmum · 21/12/2006 08:22

Good morning all.

Flying by to say that we will be thinking of you all and praying for you over the Christmas period. We are off soon to visit my parents and dh's family so will be out of touch of computers for a week! I'm going to miss you.

This prayer thread is proving a life saver for me spiritually. I am really struggling to keep up with all I need to do at work, home and planning Christmas, neither dh and I can sleep and ds2 is being incredibly grumpy and uncooperative as a way of showing that he is too excited to function as a normal human being. It shouldn't be like this!!!! Loads of sympathy for you Sooz at not having started! (That cheered me up a little, I have to admit! )

However, all my not very serious grumbles aside, I am thinking and praying for those of you for whom the next week is really difficult - the family of that little girl CCM and your sister, Maymay's db, sil, dh, and your neice and her dh Aussie, and for you Marsy, Longway, Custardo and CD, and your lovely family too . . . oh, all who have asked for prayer. May our loving father wrap you in his arms. Praying that you will know His presence over the Christmas period.

God bless all.

Notquitesotiredmum · 21/12/2006 08:24

Mary - how could I have not mentioned you, your dh, your db and Liam! Hugs, Hon.

DingDongMarilyonHigh · 21/12/2006 08:40

Perhaps you should print it off, take it with you to read! Prayers much appreciated thanks. I know, even if I'm not mentioned, I'm in your thoughts and prayers.

Sermon is nearly ready - just putting final touches to it. I've a feeling my feet won't be touching the ground over the next week or so!

For those of you signing off here soon - have a LOVELY Christmas, and see you after the birth of our Lord!

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappyNewYe · 21/12/2006 13:03

Hello all

Mary - glad to hear you are getting there with the sermon. Praying it all goes really well. Praying for Liam too.

NQSTM - praying that you get rest and sleep over the Christmas period, and that the DC settle easily at their grnadparents, and you have a Christmas filled with joy not stress.

Wierdboird - hoping and praying gthat all is ok with you, I am away from Saturday for a few days, so hoping to reasd an announcement before then.

CD - long time no see, praying that the move is going well

Maymay - how are things with DH?

Longway...still praying

Worzella - am I forgiven? please?

DC are busy making Christmas cards for the rellies, we see both sets of GPs over the next few days. Please pray for safe travelk for us, and anyone else travelling over the Christmas period, and that peace will reign where family relationships can be difficult.

If I don't get on tomorrow ...

Happy Christmas

jencroc · 21/12/2006 13:44

Hi Roseley how odd that you should put that verse up, sang it at funeral today and thought how lovely it was.

longwaytogotobethlehem · 21/12/2006 16:17

I love that song its one of my favourites.

I am ok, just peeved off at having absolutly no money that car so broke us. The bank is up to its overdraft limit and dh was only paid two days ago.

dh is feeling a lot better just not even broaching whether he's coming to church on sunday. If he comes he comes if he doesn't he doesn't.

Mary so glad that Liam is spending christmas with someone.

And a big thankyou for all your prayers for us I know that they have helped.

weirdbird · 21/12/2006 19:35

Sorry guys, sadly no news

All has been quiet on the western front since last week, have felt too depressed to even catch up on MN till now as I knew the rest of my Antenatal Group would have been dropping.

Am trying to resign myself to it turning up after Xmas and just praying that it holds off on the day itself as missing my DD's Xmas has always been my worry

DingDongMarilyonHigh · 21/12/2006 19:37

Aw! I was convinced you would have been in and out by now! {hug}

Podmog · 21/12/2006 19:46

Message withdrawn

weirdbird · 21/12/2006 19:57

HUGS Podmog, really hope you avoid bedrest over Xmas, will pray.

DingDongMarilyonHigh · 21/12/2006 20:13

Podmog! Never realised you were due so soon! Praying all goes well with the consultant tomorrow! {hug}
