Hello
new poster on this part of mn and noticed looking back on this board that there used to be a lot more threads about all things woo. Is there any interest to start a general discussion thread? Be really nice to keep this thread to discussing various topics within the realm of spirituality and ask for those who would like too debate whether I am crazy or believe in unicorns to start another thread if they wish to discuss this:) Ty.

So me? Well i am a reiki master...did my masters about 5 years ago but have sort of come away from it for various reasons. not sure if i want to continue with it. i believe in it but not sure its for me

At the moment I am quite into all things mediumship as i have found myself at a crossroads in life. amazing what a range of psychics there are out there. i have personally never had a reading where i thought the reader was completely accurate but i know many who have. my freakiest one was one who told me something about dd's appearance which i had mentioned to someone else recently. i have no idea how she knew it and still a bit freaked out!

I also seem to attract lovely woo people into my life. recently I met up with someone I did a course with. I had not mentioned anything about my interest in all things spiritual and she started to tell me about a reading she had and how her parents house is haunted. So now we meet regularly for coffee with our dds and have spiritual conversations.

Oh and i am also really into law of attraction.

So that's it from me. Please post if there is an interest in a thread of this nature. If not I shall ride into the sunset on my unicorn :)

Suberb- my 3 yr old son often says 'when I was big like you' as in his mind set is totally that he was an adult then transformed into a child. I often struggle to correct him on it cause well you never know!

Lovely that you saw you son in dream life first. I bet it was an awesome moment when you saw him and recognised his little face Smile

suburbophobe · 24/03/2013 22:45

Oopla, I actually saw him from the back, but it was him as a 2-year-old. The hair (dark brown ringlets) was exactly the same, and the body too (height, build, etc.).

How sweet about your son. Yes, I believe small children are much more in touch with that. As they grow older most of them shut it down....

IndigoBarbie · 25/03/2013 07:03

Love it! Ps for anyone who may be interested I do free remote 'healing' sessions randomly (when ds in bed) on Sunday nights and I can out my Facebook page if that appeals to anyone?

Twosugarsplease · 25/03/2013 07:14

I would have indigo but only just read your post this morning.

NotTreadingGrapes · 25/03/2013 12:16

I would love to Indigo!

IndigoBarbie · 26/03/2013 21:59

oops did I kill another thread?? Hehhe
How is everyone doing? Will we try a little experiment?

NotTreadingGrapes · 27/03/2013 06:18

I'm here! Smile and up for an experiment!

I got a phonecall yesterday to tell me I am about to be paid for the project I did last year!

I'm also rereading Creating Sacred Space after reading The Secret because I realised a lot of what is said in The Secret is v similar to space clearing traditions which I really like and think really really work.

IndigoBarbie · 27/03/2013 06:59

Morning :) that's great news :) :)
I have a few ideas based on things I do, was gonna share and see if anyone would try and see how you get on?
The first suggestion is to put a request out (probably to your angels/all encompassing universe power of whatever is believed in) and command or state at the start of your day or whenever mentally or out loud! 'centre my words in love'.
Many are unaware of just how exactly powerful words are when creating energy. This has been a very powerful shifting tool for me, and it really allows your words to be heard and accepted in a very good vibe.
Try it in different situations and see what flows? Back laters xx

marissab · 27/03/2013 13:54

Like it indigo Grin

bluebeardsbabe · 27/03/2013 18:18

Me too. I definitely believe what we send out to the universe we reap back. I even managed not to get irritated earlier when I didn't have change at the car park so as not to attract more negativity :)

Oopla · 27/03/2013 19:32

Thanks indigo Grin am going to practise saying that aloud regularly, would def help me when I get caught up in being negative.

NotTreadingGrapes · 28/03/2013 07:31

Thank you Indigo, definitely going to put more positive words out there today. Yesterday was spent in a haze of arguing with exam boards over their cock up for my students and when I look back at the day it was a "meh" day because I carried on chewing over the exam stuff.

IndigoBarbie · 02/04/2013 20:40

Hi all, how's it been?
I am thinking of another one: encase yourself in beautiful rose pink light, and then extend this out to others when you feel like it. Then, how about adding this colour to the words you speak? xx

NotTreadingGrapes · 03/04/2013 08:08

Hi Barbie!

I often do/try the projecting colours thing, after reading a v good book about protection during chanelling years ago.

I like to "float" wee infinity symbols everywhere as well. Blush

RememberingMyPFEs · 03/04/2013 09:32

I just found this thread and am very happy to meet you all. I've been on (and off and back in again) a spiritual path for about 15 years but have a VERY earthy energy so the mediumship side is harder for me but im great for grounding the floaty ones ;-)

I'm pagan/green Wiccan but really crap at marking each sabbat and esbat. I'm a Reiki master but rarely teach (only ever friends) and I lovelovelove crystal energy. I've been thinking I want to get back on my path a bit more do this thread is a great nudge.

My DH is utterly un-woo and I'm expecting DC1 so not sure how I can introduce her to some of this without him getting pissy Hmm

Merry meet x

marissab · 03/04/2013 16:28

Hello from a fellow pagan. I'm the same as you. I try to honour the sabbats but when your baby comes along there's even less time! I just try to
Get my kids out in nature as much as possible and talk tio them about the seasons. Nothing too woo.

PyroclasticFlo · 03/04/2013 17:55

Hello, another pagan / kitchen witch and Reiki master here - with a totally atheist non-woo DH! Grin I tell my DSs that mummy is a witch and I'm teaching DS1 to do protective reiki and to respect nature, that much DH can handle. DS goes to a C of E school though so the questions about Jesus and crucifixion of late have been a bit much!

I think the most important thing to remember when you are busy with DC is that even if you don't mark the sabbath etc with a ceremony as such, your intention and thoughts are the most powerful things. Teaching my children to love one another, look after the earth, trust nature, believe that everything is possible with positive thinking and that the universe is a loving, benevolent place is what I focus on. (Or try to in between the usual day to day crap!)

PyroclasticFlo · 03/04/2013 17:56

Sabbat, that should have been, damn predictive text!

IndigoBarbie · 03/04/2013 20:55

Hello fellows! Good evening to you all :)
Notreador I was laughing to the infinity symbols, something thats been quite prevalent with me of late :) :)
Remembering - Hello, welcome welcome. I think I've scared everyone away.....My DH is very non woo too, and my DS1 is beginning to come out with some very interesting phrases.......our challenges may be similar xx
Marrisab How are you doing?
Pyro Hellooo darling xxx

Bluebeards, Oopla, Angelelle - come back you loves xxx

Oopla · 04/04/2013 09:44

Hello everyone Smile hi indigo
Welcome along pyro and remembering.
Remembering am really interested when you say you have very earthy energy. How did you find out?

I was surprised to find out when I looked up my families elemental signs that we are one of each, DP earth, I air, dd fire, ds water. Since then we've had another water dragon and he's the feistiest one of the bunch Smile

Can we cast a spell to make the sun come out?

PyroclasticFlo · 04/04/2013 12:42

I tried some weather magic this morning, Oopla, I used to be very successful with it when I was younger but since having children I don't have time to practise!! I did my best, but that cold snowy front defeated me Grin.

Panadbois · 04/04/2013 17:11

I'm taking my 12 yr old DD to her first Spiritual Church service tonight.

I'm hoping she'll get some healing as well as an eyeopener. (tough time with her at the moment)

Oopla · 04/04/2013 18:21

Thank you for trying pyro Smile

Panad- hope you & your DD enjoy your service, do let us know how it goes Smile

frecklyspeckly · 04/04/2013 21:21

I love this thread..I've been lurking for ages. Hello all! I had reiki a year ago and actually 'felt' someone pushing down on my arm when I was being treated except the reiki lady was actually the other side of me at the time! any ideas who/what it could be? I wasn't scared but it was a very definate 'push'..

IndigoBarbie · 04/04/2013 21:32

Hey Weathergirls, the sun was out at my house today :) :)
Freckly - sometimes our angels and guides like to help out and do a little work too :)
