time for a new spiritual thread about all things woo?

new poster on this part of mn and noticed looking back on this board that there used to be a lot more threads about all things woo. Is there any interest to start a general discussion thread? Be really nice to keep this thread to discussing various topics within the realm of spirituality and ask for those who would like too debate whether I am crazy or believe in unicorns to start another thread if they wish to discuss this:) Ty.

So me? Well i am a reiki master...did my masters about 5 years ago but have sort of come away from it for various reasons. not sure if i want to continue with it. i believe in it but not sure its for me

At the moment I am quite into all things mediumship as i have found myself at a crossroads in life. amazing what a range of psychics there are out there. i have personally never had a reading where i thought the reader was completely accurate but i know many who have. my freakiest one was one who told me something about dd's appearance which i had mentioned to someone else recently. i have no idea how she knew it and still a bit freaked out!

I also seem to attract lovely woo people into my life. recently I met up with someone I did a course with. I had not mentioned anything about my interest in all things spiritual and she started to tell me about a reading she had and how her parents house is haunted. So now we meet regularly for coffee with our dds and have spiritual conversations.

Oh and i am also really into law of attraction.

So that's it from me. Please post if there is an interest in a thread of this nature. If not I shall ride into the sunset on my unicorn :)

Our wall calendar said spring begins yesterday so I took that as the equinox. Didn't do anything special but would like to in the future. Your day sounded lovely pink.

Catching up coz been on mu hols this week but i always celebrate on the 21st coz it's my birthday i am a lonely solitary pagan. Jealous of all of you who go to group celebrations. Wish i knew of some near me.

Ok i'm gonna tell about some woo things happening to me lately. I'd love people to talk to me about past life experiences. I am 34 so no kid but i am drawn more and more to a particular time in british history. Specifically when anglo saxons and vikings were here. So the end of the dark ages. I have recently done a short corse on AS (anglo saxons) because of this interest but it's deeper than just learning facts about the period. It's more like a deep knowledge within. Like it's part of me. I have had a tune in my head for around 8 years that i can't get out. I have no idea where this tune cane from. I've never heard it in real life. It just popped in my head. It sounds distinctly like AS/ viking music and sounds as if it would be played on a whistle/flute, which were popular back then. I also cannot read tarot but reading runes i find extremely easy. Like instinctual almost. Another strange experience i had was i would meditate when i was younger and try to connect with spirit guides. I was often drawn to visualise a cave with an old hermit in it. He would tell me foreign words. I would finish off then go look up the words. They were often latin! I don't know any latin! Anyone else had experiences like this?

I often wonder if anyone else can see faces when they have their eyes closed and perhaps just about to go to sleep, or very relaxed even?
I've never asked anyone this before.
I sometimes do, faces of complete strangers, some actually scare me, only for a second or two, and they never look really happy either.
Is this just my imagination whilst relaxed?

Hi marissa, I think it's good to follow your interests, what you need will find you and all. I don't really know about past lives but the period is fascinating. I wonder have you read the Earths children series? I'm not exactly sure the period is spot on but do check it out, the detail is amazing.

Two sugars, I do. There are loads of theories online about what they are but the general term I think is hypnagogic imagery, some people hear sounds or voices too have you always seen them or is it a recent thing?

Oopla, thanks. I'll look for those books. I love reading. Twosugars, it's never happened to me except once. I woke up from what i thought was a nightmare and everytime i closed my eyes, i could see a mans face. It wouldn't go away and scared me to death!

Yes I have always had this for as long as I can remember, to see such vivid faces, so clear and detailed, I've always found so strange, complete strangers aswell.
It's like my mind has an eye, and can happen anytime I'm in bed and ready to go to sleep, as long as I'm not thinking of anything else and relaxed, thing is I don't relax to see this on purpose, the images just flash in front of me, quite close up, and it's like WTH ! It isn't scary at all, I'm just left I remember one image of a lady, in pain, it wasn't nice, how can my imagination run away like this ?

Hello all, I am trying really hard with the LOA stuff! Thinking positive and have a rose quartz angel that a white witch who did some spellwork for me gave me that I have decided will be my "gratitude stone".

Prob a massive coincidence but on Thursday I was saying "this lesson will be cancelled" because I really wanted it to be, and lo and behold it was (and this is someone who never cancels!) Today I found out that I have saved about £1,000 expenditure on a catering thing because dp's sister has volunteered to do it all for us for £200 and I've been paid unexpectedly early for some teaching!

I would also love to get into more pagan stuff but am in a very non pagan place (unlike the Waterboys ) (ie Italy!) where all "that sort of thing" is very much frowned upon so I have to do my wee rituals in private.

I'm going to space clear the house over the next week, because the energies are well and truly clogged at the moment!

Twosugarsplease- am fascinated with this subject at the minute going to say that personally I believe it's linked to clairvoyance on some wave length.

Nottreadinggrapes. Last September I had a similar experience. Asked the universe for some money and it literally started to fall into my lap from unexpected sources and is still coming. not massive amounts but always enough to keep me going. I have had some quite powerful loa experiences so may start a seperate thread on this at some point.

I guess I am lucky as I tend to find myself surrounded by woo people . Except for my sister and bil. Lovely people but totally unwoo. Infact not sure how we even come from the same family, lol.

Twosugars Deffo sounds a bit clairvoyant to me. Have you thought about joining a development circle? It might be the start of something :)

I googled it, and all seems to be explained, but the mind must be so powerful to see images like that, colours, shapes etc I understand, but real people, faces and emotions, it baffles me.

bluebeard I've never thought it was anything worth taking further to be honest. It very strange though.

Can I just ask those of you who ask for help from the universe, angels etc, how I could too ?
I often have chats in my head with my late dad, to ask him for guidance, help and so on, or just updating him on family news I was once given reiki, and the lady was also in touch with angels, she showed me how to relax and ask for guidance, but when I'm in bed and tired I can't relax with my feet and hands flat down, as instructed, and by the time I have gone through trying to relax to be able to send my thoughts, I've fallen asleep.
We find out on Tuesday if my dh has cancer or not, and I would really like to send some thoughts.

I realised the full potential of my 'gift's' when people just used to pop into my head. It wasn't til a while after that, that I found out that one of those people was in fact dead, and I must have been thinking about him near to when he actually transitioned. I'd have conversations in my mind with them, and not really put two and two together. But then one day, I did. To see the colours and feel the emotions etc isn't a superhuman thing - it's a completely natural thing, but we are taught that its somehow 'wooo' and our sense of perceptions shut down. For example when you think about people, and then they phone - it's just our energies decoding theirs. Ok, not the best explanation. I have been on my journey for a number of years now, and it's finally sinking in that I am really here on earth to do some work of this nature. If you feel like you would want to explore it, then maybe joining a wee circle is something you could do? I've been lucky whereby I tread the reiki path, and things have unfolded in their own time for me.

PS, it's your intention behind your thought when you send it out to the universe that is the important part. All you need to do is say thanks for those extra angels and loved ones who would surround your situation, and all good wishes will help. Thinking of you all xx

Twosugars, i am paganso i often sit and talk to the moon out of my window. I see her as a wise mother figure i can go to with my priblems. I think it doesn't have to be angels. It can be a dead reletive instead. Whats important is you sending out your thoughts in to the cosmos. Do it in whatever way resonates with you.

I have reiki 1 but have yet to do 2. I do Bach Flower Remedies but again, not for a while. Hope to get back into it.

Interesting dream posts. I've had premonition dreams but of course I didn't know that at the time. One strange thing is that when I was pregnant I saw my son in a dream and shocked me 2 years down the line when he looked exactly like in the dream!
Also dreamt about a building being demolished, now I'm living in that spot (where they built housing).

My dad died two years ago and I've met him twice in meditation. It's amazing. Was at an Atlantean Healing course I did.

Have tarot (Rider White ? set) but hardly ever use them, do use a lot of the Doreen Virtue cards, have several sets.

I've done regression and had some interesting sessions! Check out Brian Weiss, I have his book with the CD so I can do it in the comfort of my own home. He has a website and is on Youtube too.
