time for a new spiritual thread about all things woo?

new poster on this part of mn and noticed looking back on this board that there used to be a lot more threads about all things woo. Is there any interest to start a general discussion thread? Be really nice to keep this thread to discussing various topics within the realm of spirituality and ask for those who would like too debate whether I am crazy or believe in unicorns to start another thread if they wish to discuss this:) Ty.


So me? Well i am a reiki master...did my masters about 5 years ago but have sort of come away from it for various reasons. not sure if i want to continue with it. i believe in it but not sure its for me

At the moment I am quite into all things mediumship as i have found myself at a crossroads in life. amazing what a range of psychics there are out there. i have personally never had a reading where i thought the reader was completely accurate but i know many who have. my freakiest one was one who told me something about dd's appearance which i had mentioned to someone else recently. i have no idea how she knew it and still a bit freaked out!

I also seem to attract lovely woo people into my life. recently I met up with someone I did a course with. I had not mentioned anything about my interest in all things spiritual and she started to tell me about a reading she had and how her parents house is haunted. So now we meet regularly for coffee with our dds and have spiritual conversations.

Oh and i am also really into law of attraction.

So that's it from me. Please post if there is an interest in a thread of this nature. If not I shall ride into the sunset on my unicorn :)

I tried really hard (too hard prob!) to see auras after I read celestial prophecy

Ok... Every time I've tried to discuss this with non woo people they look at me like I've two heads. Can I ask has anyone ever experienced a strange sensation around the third eye area? I do very often, doesn't freak me out so much anymore but I'd love o know more about it. I get a sense that its related to intuition in some way as generally something will happen that I remember later.

My third eye area tightens and tingles during meditation Oopia. The most noticeable experience was during a Reiki treatment with crystals.
Now that was amazing!

I tend to get a feeling at the top of my head if I'm meditating or channeling energy for a crystal treatment, it's more like an opening sensation and a kind of pressure. The third eye spot is where I get the headaches if I'm looking at energy/auras and forget to stop (and haven't protected myself like I should)

Ooh just been into a woo shop. The woo shop where I live shut down but there is one near my sister who is totally non woo so we never go in but I'm puttering around on my own here today.

love the smell of incence and angel music. very soothing. ended up getting two tarot decks. one for me and one for a friend. always think the best decks are the ones you get given. Also got some sage for smudging.

Which decks did you get? I always use Sacred Rose, having been gifted a deck years ago, which I threw out in a fit of trying-not-to-be-woo but then bought another deck.

I have quite a few decks now, the first couple of ones I got gifted, got my first ones more than ten years ago. I think my first one was Voyager Tarot by a chap called James Wanless, he is very cool and the cards are lovely. My lovely friend then got me a reading with him...he lives out in the Californian desert. It was all very cool and very woo...cant remember much about the reading. He isnt psychic as such, it is more a journey with the cards. (Incidently the same friend paid for us to go and see Sylvia Brown and John Edward live...it was quite odd as it was just after 9/11...literally a month or so and I remember someone coming through who had died in one of the towers...anyhoot going off track here).

So since then I have amassed quite a few varieties of cards but at the moment I am quite into Doreen Virtues angel cards and got one of her angel decks for myself. For my friend I got a deck to help you develop your psychic abilities as she is psychic (predicted my pregnancy amongst other things and it was totally not expected IYSWIM).

When I read for friends I tend to stick to two decks and that is the voyager taror and Tatianas fortune cards. These are the cards that speak to me and I feel comfortable with but when I dabble in my own readings I tend to use a variety...the cards just purchased were about love and relationships.

I also had a bout of chucking out things in an attempt to not be so woo. I bought a ton of woo books after I did Reiki level 1, then had some weird experiences and decided I wasnt ready to be woo so gave loads of books to the charity shop. I now am more selective on what woo I invite into my life:)

Had a weird happening in bed last night. My 2 year old had snuck in between me and oh and we were all fast asleep. I had a bad nightmare but i couldn't wake up. Then out of the blue my 2 year old started crying loudly and it woke me up. This happened twice during the night. It's as if she knew i was stuck and tge dream was very frughtening. Could say itwas a coincidence but it happened twice! We obviously have a very strong bond.

Funnily enough, I've been thinking about the law of attraction recently. It's one of those things that works brilliantly, yet I sometimes let it slip by and then wonder why! I wrote my first post a few days ago about a couple of mothers being really unpleasant to me at my DD's Pre School and am going to give it a try to see if I can turn things around.
