The night before - prayer for Expat before Aillidh's funeral

Expat's beautiful and brave daughter died last Saturday night. Her funeral mass and burial is on this coming Saturday, the 14th.
I've been thinking a lot about both Expat and Aillidh this week and I know that Peachy has a wonderful idea for how people can mark Aillidh's passing on Saturday. Thread here

In addition to that, I want to suggest a sort of prayer vigil on the night before. So many people lit candles for Aillidh and prayed. In the darkness of the evening of the night before her funeral I think we need to do that again. We can be a light.

I'm thinking of this prayer
Christ be with you, Christ within you,
Christ behind you, Christ before you,
Christ beside you, Christ to win you,
Christ to comfort and restore you.

Christ beneath you, Christ above you,
Christ in quiet, and in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love you,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

and there is a lovely song which is on the same lines. That sort of somes up my feelings but of course people should just pray as they feel led.
In the days Aillidh was so ill a lot of people wanted to do something to help and we did by praying. I just want to 'arm' Expat and her family as much as possible for Saturday. This seems the way to me.

May Aillidh's parents be given the strength to do what no parent should ever have to do.

Peace be with you and your beautiful girl.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

Just that really...

Expat, I'm sorry, I'm local, but I can't be there.

We've had an unexpected death in the family this week & I just can't get over. I'm sorry.
Will definitely be saying a prayer for the girl with the beautiful smile.
We live next door to a chapel so thats where I will be, lighting a candle & thinking of Aillidh.
God bless you & give you the strength to get through the difficult times.
