It is 5.08AM. Aillidh is with us still, with sats that have remained in the 70s for the night, even when moved, and a stable pulse, and pupils reacting normally to light stimulus.

Good morning beautiful A xxx

Link to FAQ about the British Bone Marrow Registry
You need to register before your 50th birthday and be a blood donor (you can join at your first donation).

Keep going lovely girl. You and your familly are in my thoughts today. xx

GobblersKnob · 06/07/2012 09:50

I hope no one minds me posting this, but for everyone here praying so so hard I wish you this, as it seems so relevant

^May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, superficial relationships, so that you will live deep within your heart.

May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people so that you will work for justice, equality and peace.

May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that you will reach out your hand to comfort them and change their pain into joy.

And may God bless you with the foolishness to think that you can make a difference in the world, so that you will do the things which others tell you cannot be done.^

Still praying and praying and praying.

GColdtimer · 06/07/2012 09:51

So glad to wake up to this news.

I had bad news about a friend last night. Do not want to hijack this thread but so many people are waiting for a transplant, please, please sign if you can.

Come on aillidh. You are the toughest and bravest little girl I know. Keep on fighting. Xx

mrssmooth · 06/07/2012 09:51

What a relief to read the news this morning. Several times last night I woke up and Aillidh and expat and her family were on my mind but I was too scared to log in. She's obviously not ready to go yet, her strength is amazing! Aillidh, you are one tough cookie! Much love to you all xx

Mummybear2 · 06/07/2012 09:53

So happy you are still fighting Aillidh sweetheart-continuing to hope and pray, you are constantly thought about. Sending love and strenghth for today GO GIRL xxx

Glaikit · 06/07/2012 09:53

I hope no one minds me posting the Anthony Nolan Q&A thread which answered a lot of my questions about donation and the fabulous work they do.

PaperView · 06/07/2012 09:55

More love and strength xxxx

newtonupontheheath · 06/07/2012 09:55

First thing I did this morning when woken by DS (at 5am) was check for an update... DS was most put out, but the extra cuddles and the cheering we did when we read the good news made up for it....

Will be checking in and hoping all day. Not really one for praying, but the power of everybody's positive thoughts/prayers/whatevers are doing something to help this little girl keep fighting.

Love to Expat and the rest of the family

Love to the MNers here too

grinningbee · 06/07/2012 09:55

Isn't it weird that the Anthony Nolan one says you can't be a donor over 40, but the other one says you can.

Going to have to find somewhere to give blood, and join the register at the same time. It's the least I can do. Thanks for the link Chaz

newtonupontheheath · 06/07/2012 09:56

Oh, and does anybody have the link to the facebook page? It was posted a few threads ago but I appear to have lost it.... Thanks,

UnlikelyAmazonian · 06/07/2012 09:58

So relieved Aillidh had a peaceful night. Have lit candle again here. Love and strength to all of you.

mistlethrush · 06/07/2012 09:58

Still thinking of Aillidh and expat and family and friends.

chipmonkey · 06/07/2012 09:59

What a little fighter! I have so much hope for her.xx

Imnotaslimjim · 06/07/2012 09:59

Aillighs fb page

Here you go Newton

WatermelonSugar · 06/07/2012 10:00

Another long time lurker, sending love and good wishes to Expat and Aillidh, as well to Giraffe, Psycho and others for their fantastic support. It is a great comfort to so many of us that they are able to help in the practical ways that the rest of us would love to do.

My testing kit from AN arrived this morning. I know people on here have been saying you have to be under 40 to join the register, but you actually have to not be over 40 IYSWIM - I'm 40 and 2 months and was accepted. So maybe there might be a few more people between 40 and 41 reading this who are eligible when they thought they might not be.

BupcakesandCunting · 06/07/2012 10:00

Come on Aillidh, prove those doctors wrong. You are doing so well xxx

bizzey · 06/07/2012 10:01

wonderful news xxx
Thank-you for fb link ....i was coming to ask the same thing !!

pissovski · 06/07/2012 10:02

This is the first of A's thread I have commented on but I have read them all. So pleased to read today's update and hoping, praying and wishing for more good news.

Much love to A, expat and all the family, and to giraffes and psycho, for doing so much.

ShowOfHands · 06/07/2012 10:03

I get up in a morning and stare down the computer for long minutes before switching it on, warning it that Aillidh better still be there and fighting. She's my first thought every morning (and in the middle of the night) and it struck me today that I can't even comprehend for a minute how Leigh must feel every time she opens her eyes to a new day or every time she glances at that infernal sats monitor. I only hope that she knows how many mothers are standing next to her holding her up.

DH joined the Anthony Nolan register not long after Aillidh's search began. I'm unable to but I have nagged everybody I know to at least try.

Good morning Aillidh. Sunshine and showers today. This is good weather. Beauty and nourishment in one. Stay strong.

FoxyRevenger · 06/07/2012 10:06

Soupdragon that quote brought tears to my eyes. I don't know where it is from, but it's very beautiful.

MissBetseyTrotwood · 06/07/2012 10:10

Just checking in here.

Gosh you are strong girl. We've been thinking and talking about you here and willing you on.
