No news at the moment since the last update.

I will post it again here in case anyone missed it tho.

"Aillidh update: slight improvement in xray. Bronchoscope and lavage done. She is comfortable and sedated. Plan is to leave her on vent a few days and find out what is going on inside her lungs with results of bronchoscope/lavage. Please, please keep praying. Your prayers, thoughts, vibes and anything are keeping her and us going. We are buoyed by everyone's strength and hope. Her grandmother is here now and her maternal grandparents will be here on Monday."

Keep fighting!

Wishing you all strength and a large bus for nasty consultant . Glad you have a heavyweight on your side. x

catinboots · 29/06/2012 18:19

Love and prayers to you all x

Lizzylou · 29/06/2012 18:24

Another one hoping and praying for Aillidh.
You keep fighting Expat, A obviously has your grit and determination, she is such a fighter. Utterly disgusted by that Consultant's attitude. A has captured the hearts of literally thousands and we're all virtually by her side.

I am glad that she has her family to be right beside her.

If ANYONE deserves a miracle...

Lexilicious · 29/06/2012 18:30

Didn't post on previous threads because I have no words, but I've been there on a couple of the 12 noon prayer surges. Praying for Ailidh, for all sick and recovering children and for their loved ones. Also praying now for the light of care and love to open that doctor's heart just a little to understand better and support the patients he cares for.

Gave blood today too. I'm sure I have ticked every possible box in the past whenever faced with a form but is there anything else I should do to make sure I am there to get picked up for bone marrow trawl if needed? Boring O+ so supposed to be widely useable I think. (I know there's more to it than that though)

Lexi - have you filled in the Anthony Nolan forms and sent off your spit in a tube? It's more complicated than blood type - I think they match the DNA of each donor so you will need to follow their (not at all complicated) process. check out www.anthonynolan.org for what you need to do...

Gigaflops · 29/06/2012 18:34

sorry - link here www.anthonynolan.org

BerryLellow · 29/06/2012 18:35

Wishing with all my heart for better news to come, have asked family members to put Aillidh on the prayer again at their church.

Much love to all of you x

Lexilicious · 29/06/2012 18:38

Praying for Aillidh, expat and the whole family, also giraffes for everything she does.

This girl deserves a miracle, because she is just to amazing for words!

Francagoestohollywood · 29/06/2012 18:53

Sending positive thoughts.

mummylin2495 · 29/06/2012 19:01

cant believe the attitude ot the consultant. You stay right where you are Expat, where of course you should be.How can a person who has no compassion work with such sick children.Hoping that the slight improvement is just the beginning of Aillidh,s recovery.

SaliFourth · 29/06/2012 19:08

Expat, sorry to hear about the unhelpful consultant.

I know you have better things to do with your time, but if you feel his actions are affecting Aillidh's progress, get someone to contact the hospital's PALS unit, and/or the Chief Executive's complaints person to explain what's going on and how you'd like things to be different. (I found the latter very helpful when I encounterd several staff making mistakes during my treatment.)

Praying for your lovely little girl and wishing you all strength xx

Theyremybiscuits · 29/06/2012 19:10

Expat do whatever is correct and feels right for you and yours.
No-one knows how it truly feels to be in such a position until they have been there.

Much love and good thoughts to you and your daughter and everyone involved.
Keep eating/drinking (and if at all possible) abit o' sleep.

AllYouNeedIsAClickyBallpoint · 29/06/2012 19:10

Still praying and hoping xx

Rindercella · 29/06/2012 19:17

Expat, my prayers are with Aillidh now, as they have been for the last days and weeks and months. The journey you are on is one no parent should ever have to face. That consultant is inhumane suggesting your little girl shouldn't have someone who loves her with her all of the time. It is unthinkable for it to be otherwise. There should be a law against such fuckwits working in such environments - where care, empathy and compassion are essential.

Wishing Aillidh a miracle. Much love to you all xxxx

HairyPotter · 29/06/2012 19:17

You are all in my thoughts. Sending love, positive thoughts and hope xx
