No news at the moment since the last update.

I will post it again here in case anyone missed it tho.

"Aillidh update: slight improvement in xray. Bronchoscope and lavage done. She is comfortable and sedated. Plan is to leave her on vent a few days and find out what is going on inside her lungs with results of bronchoscope/lavage. Please, please keep praying. Your prayers, thoughts, vibes and anything are keeping her and us going. We are buoyed by everyone's strength and hope. Her grandmother is here now and her maternal grandparents will be here on Monday."

Expat I, like many others have not posted before but have been lurking and checking (numerous) times a day on Aillidh's progress. I have no words that could possibly offer any comfort in this most terrible time for you but you, your beautiful daughter and the rest of your family are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you all much needed strength, keep fighting little one.

I don't really know what to say - there are no words. I've thought about you all day. People don't realise that these things don't just happen to 'other people'; in the blink of an eye it's your child and life is never the same again, whatever the outcome.

I don't know the back story but this has played a little on my mind all day.

*Acute Myeloid Leukaemia - Aillidh's Search For A Donor
We now have a name for her nemesis! It is the human metapneumo virus she has had for a while that is the most likely source of her continued respiratory problems.

The graft is trying desperately to work, although chimera of bone marrow aspirate and trephine biopsy will tell us more, let us hope and pray that it is 100% donor. Her consultant believes the virus might be prohibiting healthy engraftment. She is being given a new anti-viral to hopefully help her, and with everyone's prayers and thoughts, this will help, too. She is peaceful and comfortable at present and sleeping, which will help her, too. A's consultant has far from given up hope and nor have we.

To those of our friends who have experienced the loss of their children, I pray to them, too, to help Aillidh in her time of need with the immeasurable love and boundless strength that is the domain of the young, and know that they are at her side in spirit, never far from our thoughts.

I've never prayed so much, not even when my own ds was in nicu. Aillidh deserves a miracle, I pray for 100% donor, healthy engraftment and these bastars bugs viruses and infections to leave her well alone, so she can go home and be a 9yr old, a daughter and a sister and a happy healthy child! Come on aillidh, you can do this! For now stay comfortable.

MrsD we were praying over As bed this morning and expat said she felt Billie, my dd Rosie and our friends wee boy who died of a brain tumour (we both went to his funeral) with Aillidh x

And she often talks about your bday card :)
