No news at the moment since the last update.

I will post it again here in case anyone missed it tho.

"Aillidh update: slight improvement in xray. Bronchoscope and lavage done. She is comfortable and sedated. Plan is to leave her on vent a few days and find out what is going on inside her lungs with results of bronchoscope/lavage. Please, please keep praying. Your prayers, thoughts, vibes and anything are keeping her and us going. We are buoyed by everyone's strength and hope. Her grandmother is here now and her maternal grandparents will be here on Monday."

Leigh gone got a wee deserved rest. ICU dr been in and fiddled with her vent pressures. She moved on to tummy lasnight but going to be moved back on to her back soon. Upped frusimide from .2 to .8.

I just read her a book. :) i felt like a bit of a daftie at the start, but after a couple of lines it was fine. I was running out of grabage to talk to her!!

Longtalljosie · 02/07/2012 07:56

Keep going, little one. You can do this x

Longtalljosie · 02/07/2012 07:57

Giraffes - as I said upthread, with my Dad even when we were told it was seriously unlikely he could hear us, he could. I'm sure she really enjoyed the story xx

Rumours · 02/07/2012 07:59

Just been out walking the dog and praying for Aillidh. I was muttering away so good job no one was around, but then again, I don't care. Sun was shining, birds were singing and I was praying for Aillidh to be outside seeing and hearing it all too xx

barbarianoftheuniverse · 02/07/2012 08:03

Giraffes, I read to my father when he was too ill to move or speak in hospital. I read familiar stories. He heard me and understood. He liked to have music on too.

Love to all of you.

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 02/07/2012 08:04

Good news - she was being given 100% oxygen through vent and only achieving 83%sats.....ICU dr just been in and put her down to 90% oxygen being delivered by vent and her sats are... 91% Grin Grin Grin

A small wee glimmer of hope!!!

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 02/07/2012 08:05

we watched high school musical yesterday

MOSagain · 02/07/2012 08:07

oh that is very good news giraffes. Like many others, one of the first things I do every morning now is check for an update. Facebook and other nonsense takes a back seat now. This puts things in persepective for a lot of us, what really matters in life.

Sending love and hugs to the whole expat family xxx

justonemorethread · 02/07/2012 08:07

We hold on to every glimmer of hope. Still praying

winnybella · 02/07/2012 08:08

Oh, that's great news. I'm willing her to keep improving.

Giraffe, you're amazing for helping so much.

Northernlurker · 02/07/2012 08:09

That is good news Smile Will keep on praying.

tempnameswap · 02/07/2012 08:12

that sounds hopeful! Checking first thing here too. Much love to all x

NeverAgain2 · 02/07/2012 08:13

I couldn't get on line yesterday. I was helping out with children's liturgy and we got the children to act out the gospel, with a little girl being healed by the Lord. I could hardly keep myself composed through my silent tears.

After Mass I went to light a candle and my daughter asked who I was lighting it for. I explained about Aillidh and she knelt down beside me and said "Mummy, remember earlier, Jesus can heal her"

Even my 5 year old joined me in prayer.

Aillidh has so many people pulling for her. Expat and her family are also blessed to have so many of you who are able to help in r/l. Your friendship is, I'm sure so very comforting for them.

Rumours · 02/07/2012 08:14

Smile that is good news

NeverAgain2 · 02/07/2012 08:15
