As the other thread is nearing its limit, hopefully this is the thread with lots of positive news.

There are so many people thinking and praying for Aillidh tonight, people I hardly know on FB sending me prayers and posting on their pages. I'm sure this is happening all over FB and beyond thousands routing for this very sick wee girl.

Last Saturday I stood at her window and stroked it as giraffes does and in my head said to her please get better, keep fighting, don't give up.

We all stand next to expat, willing her beautiful Aillidh to get better.

HeathRobinson · 27/06/2012 21:12

Beautiful girl, there are so many people praying, wishing, willing and hoping, holding you and your family in our hearts and minds. Dear heavenly Father, please bless Aillidh and her family with your healing touch, give them strength and courage and comfort, help them to feel your presence and your peace and see your healing miracles at work. In Jesus name, Amen xxxx

I've come on here after sharing expat's fb update to see if there was any more news. It's amazing how involved you get with a family that you have never actually seen in real life

hello. Not long in from hospital. Aillidh very narrowly escaped ventilator today but is still being supported by BIPAP in PICU.

Her sickness has calmed with meds but still not great.

When I was sitting with her she fell asleep. Expat and her dh went to have a chippy Grin Much needed! She has a nurse with her 24/7 and needs a lot of care/drugs etc just now.

She has not slept in days - possibly due to steroids, so hopefully might get some sleep tonight as being given melatonin, although she fell asleep befroe this, she is exhausted.

She being very brave on BIPAP. And she beconed me over and said to me she felt "very much better" while on the BIPAP than on the oxygen alone - she struggles with it and her body needs the break the BIPAP gives her.

ZacharyQuack · 27/06/2012 23:07

She sounds like such an awesome girl - so brave! I'm glad she feels "very much better", hopefully the rest of her body will catch up with her brain soon.

Tambasher · 27/06/2012 23:07

My thoughts are with you all xxx

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 23:08

Oh giraffes thanks for the update. You must be exhausted too.

Please tell Expat that we believe in miracles and we believe in their brave, brave daughter.

mistlethrush · 27/06/2012 23:10

I do hope that helps her through this. Sleep is a good thing to help. I've been looking in and sending positive thoughts all day.
