As the other thread is nearing its limit, hopefully this is the thread with lots of positive news.

Bless you giraffes. Still thinking of you all and praying.

Northernlurker · 02/07/2012 23:52

Yes indeed the haemofiltration machine will be very needy! Grin Our standard dialysis machines ( I work in admin NOT clinical) make a terrible fuss and we have another machine for a different type of treatment that looks simple but tries to break every time it's switched on. All these machines cost a ton and eat v expensive diet Grin Anyway they do the job and will take care of Aillidh. Loving the names....Smile

WinstonWolf · 02/07/2012 23:53

I hope that you all have a peaceful evening, don't forget to get some rest giraffes x

TimeForMeAndDD · 02/07/2012 23:53

God Bless you little Aillidh, praying hard for you here, constantly rooting for you. You are one amazingly tough little girl. Keep fighting sweetheart X

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 03/07/2012 00:47

i home now. just having my daily big brother fix. (I know I know it is shite, but it is mindless and I like the switch off effect it gives me) Then sleep time.

Expat is pleased I know the dr who on tonight, she feels safe with him. He will do his absolute best for her. (As I am sure they all would but its just that extra reassurance I think)

StealthPolarBear · 03/07/2012 06:15

sassytheFIRST · 03/07/2012 06:18

Lougle · 03/07/2012 06:43

You're all fantastic.Remember, hearing is the very last sense to go. She may be sedated, but she will hear you, so all your positive words will bring her reassurance and strength.

SecretNutellaFix · 03/07/2012 06:54

Good morning everyone. Prayers for Ailidh began the minute I woke, and will continue throughout the day.

Furball · 03/07/2012 07:21

Just checking for updates with A

Will be thinking of her all day and sending her positive 'healing' thoughts

RabidAnchovy · 03/07/2012 07:23

Are we all praying at 12 again today (as well as other times)

ToothbrushThief · 03/07/2012 07:24

Rabid - I will.

mistlethrush · 03/07/2012 07:26

First thing I thought of (other than 'Oh no, not the dog, its TOO early') at 5am. I hope expat managed to get some sleep last night. Thinking of you all.

Northernlurker · 03/07/2012 08:21

Beautiful sunny day here with lots of blue sky. I tend to pray on my way to work on my bike and blue sky is all about Aillidh for me now.

Am repeating this verse today because it seems so much what is needed - the strength of eagles

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

We believe and we have hope. We believe in miracles. Smile

sweetkitty · 03/07/2012 08:41

Just checking in said my prayers for Aillidh this morning and read everyone else's. Have also asked our local priest to keep praying for her. She's been on the Pray for the Sick list since she was first diagnosed and he always asks after her.

Abra1d · 03/07/2012 10:14

12 NOON PRAYER/VIBES/TIGERS surge for Aillidh (and all very sick children).

madhairday · 03/07/2012 11:33

Praying through the day and will pray at 12.

psychomum5 · 03/07/2012 11:33

prayers are being heard....

Aillidh update: her CRP has dropped from 170 to 90! Her counts . . . are rising! Slight improvement in chest xray. Keep it coming, all, please keep it coming!!xxx

xxx

northernmonkey · 03/07/2012 11:38

Is the CRP dropping a good thing? Sorry this is all very technical to me.
I'm just hoping this is good news.
Still sending positive healing vibes over to her. Will not stop until she is home xx

EightiesChick · 03/07/2012 11:53

Yes, the CRP falling is a good thing. The CRP is a measure of inflammation in the body (often from infection - people with infections will have a higher CRP). So if someone's CRP number is lower, their level of infection/inflammation is less than it was. Great news.

Ready to pray at 12

RabidAnchovy · 03/07/2012 12:10

Have been praying

Rindercella · 03/07/2012 12:10

Aillidh is as always in my thoughts and in my prayers. Great news that improvements are beginning to show. Long may it last. Come on Aillidh.

Giraffes, psycho, et al, you are all doing an amazing thing.

Expat, Expat's DH and DC, you are always in my thoughts xx

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 03/07/2012 12:12

Hi.
I have been here since 7.30. Leigh has just gone for a nap. I will go to the shops when her Mum arrives. I am staying awake all day today ? am working tomorrow so trying to reset my body clock.

Aillidh has had some physio, which she didn?t tolerate very well, sats dropped lots. She is very cold because of the haemofiltration machine so has been put on a bear hug blanket, which has warm air blown in to it. So she is getting nice and cosy.

She is going to be turned on to her front soon, but this is an even bigger task now due to the line in her groin for the haemo filtration.

Anyway expat has asked that I ask you for some help if you can? ? Can you search for flats to rent in the west end of Glasgow (so partick, yorkhill, Anniesland, scotstoun, kelvindale, kelvinside that type of area) MUST be ground floor. Actually not sure how many bedrooms, at least 2 but I imagine its 3 bedrooms then want. You might want to start another thread for that, can I leave it up to someone else to coordinate this? Looking, what sites to look on, and then collate a list of possibles. Must be ready to move in to ASAP. Thanks
