Returning to Wicca

I nearly started this thread in chat, but thought better of it.

I was very interested in Wicca as a teenager and had several books on the subject. My DM was worried and discouraged me from it, so I sort of...drifted away.

As I have got older I realised that, although I am definitely not into the more widely accepted religions, but that I have a great deal of faith IYSWIM.

I want to return to Wicca, if possible, as I remember feeling a sense of peace doign the little that I did as a teen, but I am aware that the vast majority of the knowledge and 'practices' that I had/used were from books by Silver RavenWolf. Before I dig them out and read them again, can anyone give me their views on the author? Are there better things that I should be reading?

Thank you

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Wicca personally, but have you seen this thread? I think someone there might be able to help you!

pob lwc!

Hello!
Seeing your name has just reminded me that I promised you I would tell you what the Wlpan course was like Blush

I didn't actually go... it is a long, boring story involving a break down (of my car) and the subsequent non carness of the following three ish weeks and the incompatability of that with the fact that the course was far, far away from any public transport, as often happens where I am!

Thank you for the link, I will have a look there!

sorry to hear about your car troubles :(

not much public transport where I am, either! I do a lot of walking...

anyway, if you do go at some point in the future, come and tell all on the Welsh learners thread, I'm still on it :)

Could you link to the welsh thread again? It's dropped off my TIO list Blush and I've got my fingers crossed for a teaching interview soon!
