Just wanted to start a prayer thread for expat's little girl, Ailidh, who has been very ill with leukaemia. Just wanted to show our support and pray that her treatment works and that she is back in action very, very soon!

Very much in my thoughts x

chipmonkey · 09/06/2012 23:03

expat has asked for grafting prayers on FB. I have put Ailidh's name on a little piece of paper and placed it under dd's angel candle. Asking my little girl to watch out for expat's little girl.

That's beautiful chip monkey.

Still praying and thinking of Aillidh often. She is an amazing young girl.

TimeForMeAndDD · 09/06/2012 23:24

Still praying here too, sending lots of love and strength x

Aillidh has touched the heart of my DD too, she has spent the evening making a card and has asked me to send her favourite book to Aillidh along with it Smile

expatinscotland · 10/06/2012 00:06

Aillidh continues to spike temps that don't stay down and feel dreadful. It will be Monday before we find out what is going on in her chest due to specimens needing to be cultured over 48 hours.

The new ABs will also take some time to work.

Hopefully the chimerism test from her bone marrow aspirate will show more donor DNA.

chipmonkey · 10/06/2012 00:11

Well, here's hoping for lots of donor DNA and that the AB's kick in ASAP. How are you doing? You must be bloody exhausted.

I am praying for her and for you and your family.

All prayers for you.

expatinscotland · 10/06/2012 00:12

I just want her to feel better and for the transplant to work. Poor, poor little Aillidh, and her brother and sister, too, who've had their happy little family torn apart.

TrinityIsAFuckingRhino · 10/06/2012 00:22

sending positive thoughts your way every day

chipmonkey · 10/06/2012 00:23

Well, here's praying that your family is all back together under one roof very, very soon, expat.

Lump in my throat reading that. I feel lost for words. I prayed and will pray for you all. Tough for the whole family

gingercurl · 10/06/2012 00:31

Praying for Aillidh, Expat and family.

ToothbrushThief · 10/06/2012 08:48

A morning prayer that Sunday brings a lower temp for Aillidh. How are your other DC bearing up with a) not seeing you and b) worrying about their sister?

TimeForMeAndDD · 10/06/2012 09:12

Praying hard here x

chipmonkey · 11/06/2012 11:29

Keep the prayers going, ladies!

DD fully briefed in the praying dept. We are off to see her PP about a reference for the schools I am applying to.
Will make sure she is prayed for at all the masses this week.

HeathRobinson · 11/06/2012 11:48

In my thoughts today. xx

RalphGnu · 11/06/2012 12:45

Still in my thoughts.

How are things today?

expatinscotland · 11/06/2012 12:49

She had a better night but was just 38.3 degrees again.

EdgarAllenPimms · 11/06/2012 13:00

Oh Expat, what an awful worrying time for you and your family,

sends getting better vibes, wills that temperature down

expatinscotland · 11/06/2012 13:36

You know what the worst thing is, Edgar, is that if the graft doesn't take, this was all for nothing. She will still have an 80% chance of relapse with a slim chance of remitting again, and will have gone through all this.

And it's not guarantee of not relapsing. There are so many relapsers in here it's sick.

You wonder sometimes when is the point where it's not worth it to put them through more of this.
