I hope LibraPoppyGirl doesn't mind, but seeing as she sort of "did" a summary for me; I thought I would use her words to start a new thread as the last one was getting pretty long!

It was interesting to find out what the Plural of Phoenix was at the same time - Apparently that's derives from the original Latin - same as Matrix and Matrices. So there you go!! You learn something new everyday.

Prayers for LibraPoppyGirl as well - as she seeks refuge in the ... erm ... refuge and looks to a safe future with her precious family. Protect her, Lord and show her the way she should walk .....

Japan Heavenly Father, watch over your people who are affected by the terrible natural disasters, that have happened in Japan. Lord give them love and strength, to deal with such horrific times. We pray to your Lord, to look after those who have survived and give of your great self, to those who have lost loved ones. In the name of your Son Jesus Christ, Amen x

Heavenly Father, take of this family of yours Lord. They are precious indeed. Amen xx (DD1 is taking anti-biotics and is doing better, hoping this is the beginning of the end - light at the end of the tunnel ) Prayers for CD's foster mum who is coping with a DX of Atrial Fibrillation and the implications this has for the rest of her life. Prayers too for CD's friend's sister who is in hospital after a horrific car crash. The future is not looking too hopeful so recent brain stem tests have revealed only the top half of her brain is working - meaning that she may end of not having any control over her body whatsoever; but still being being to think and understand everyone going on around her Prayers for her family and friends at this terrible time, esp her DH and 2 gorgeous DD's (5 and 7)

Heal her from her pneumonia and make her well enough to be able to have the treatment she needs, for her breast cancer. How is everyone this morning? Prayers for a good day for everyone.

Can I ask you to pray for DD2, who is doing well, thank you. Still a little fragile, but getting better every day.
She really needs a car! She is trying desperately to save money for her XLP gap-year. She is doing 3 A-levels as well as trying to do 2 jobs and save money from them and fund raise in any spare time. One of her jobs is 8 miles from home with no bus route there at all. We have had a long talk and she says she does not want to get the old car fixed and drive that as it will cost too much, so we are on the lookout for the cheapest car possible for her to use for the next few months (until September). I shared with her the times that DH and I have needed a car urgently and cheaply over the past 23 years and how God has provided one EVERY time for us when we have prayed about it. So, we are praying for a car for her and for her to be able to get the money she needs without exhausting herself in the process.

Prayers for my co-parenting with ExH would be good. He appears to have done a complete U turn on contact. And when to introduce OW. I'm finding it all very hard and feeling low. I have had a good long chat about it on the "dumpling no more" thread but I need prayer. Prayer for the kids as things adjust, prayer for me too

Scan is not until Tuesday (26th) ladies but I'm feeling much more reassured. Had a day full of sickness and eating yesterday so I guess that is a really good sign! If I wasn't eating every hour or so I started feeling/being sick. Greedy baby! Feeling much more together again.

Could I ask for prayers this weekend. I am really, really struggling today with my breathing. Feels hard to get every breath, and I am feeling fearful with it today. I don't yet have home o2 but it's these sorts of days which I could do with it. May have a little word with my consultant. Thing is I don' need it all the time, just on occasion, so won't be high priority. But right now nebs/drugs aren't doing their thing enough. I just want to be there for my dc. Sorry to be a bit pathetic. Have had a good morning doing Messy Church but can't get myself off the sofa all afternoon. House a tip. DCs being great though apart from usual arguments. How can I make this Good Friday a positive one through to the end? Sometimes it seems too hard and I give up a little. Thanks for listening to my little moan.

Many prayers MHD. Praying that the Holy Spirit will breathe into you and for you. Praying that you will be able to be outside in this lovely weather. Praying that the children will be understanding and helpful. Praying most of all that you will feel close to Jesus on this day when He suffered and died for us.

Thank you DO. Amazingly I really do. Just watched 'the Miracle Maker' with the family and had such a sense of God's presence and this 2,000 year old story reaching far into today and into forever in such a poignant and compelling way. Praise God :)

Prayers for you MHD and Caz.

I was so caught up the last few days in the saga with ExH and with being at home all the time, I hadn't realised it was Good Friday I'm too isolated I sometimes think nowadays.

trying to catch up...

i have had an unscheduled stay at mum and dads. went for the day to meet h, take the children out to lunch, trip to the park, etc. returned to my mums, cleaned up ds's diarrhoea (again) just about ready to leave after tea, when ds uses his new found language to say "tummy hurt" and "uddle"... then throws up in the sink, (6th sense had me standing next to it... ) so we stay for the night. 2 children in a bed, co-sleeping? definately not a lot of sleeping from me. so we have not long been back, another bout of diarrhoea and another bath delayed the setting off home.

ds still has diarrhoea (again) I am fed up and tired and consequently miserable with the state of the flat on return...

Prayers for you, BES, Caz and MHD. Not easy for any of you at the moment.

Was it last year I had that really dreadful "Good Friday experience?". Or the year before? I remember my spiritual director asking me if there was any way I felt I could offer up what happened to God, the pain I felt at the time and since. And I've tried to do so, although I remembered yesterday. Yesterday I felt able to offer up my knee pain, and that sort of helped and felt good (if you know what I mean). I was the narrator for the retelling of the Passion, and that was very moving. There is the Tony Campolo quote "Because of what He did for me, I would do anything for Him" - and that is what I meditate on sometimes.
