COUNCIL THREAT TO KILL HARMLESS DOG

Lennox is a 5 year old family dog. His parents are a Lab x Staffie and an American Bulldog. He is NOT a banned dog as described by the law of his homeland, Belfast in NI. Nor has he ever been an aggressive one. He lives peacably with a young family and other pets.

Yet he may well die.

Belfast Council have forcibly taken him from the owners who have loved him since he was 8 weeks old. Now he is in council kennels, awaiting his fate. He suffers from stress yet the Council won't even tell the family how or where he is. They, including their 11 year old disabled daughter, are in pieces and Lennox's life hangs in the balance.

The petition to save Lennox is HERE

Full details, written by the owner, are HERE

Please sign the petition and, if you will, also email Belfast City Council to express your concerns. Their details are on the owner's webpage.

Personalclown - that is absolutely heartbreaking. He was a beautiful beautiful boy.

PersonalClown, no apologies for the language needed. They ARE fucking cunts for killing a much loved pet.

The c-word is one I've only ever used once before on this forum and then only to quote someone, but in this case I'll make an exception and apologise to those whom I have offended. I still won't take it back though.

Thank you for signing Lennox's petition and for telling your cousin's sad story. It confirms what I have been saying all along, sadly, and what people are unwilling to believe... that this IS happening, that innocent dogs ARE being killed for no reason and that families hearts ARE being broken in the process.

My sympathy and heartfelt wishes for strength and comfort go out to your cousin and her family.

Hi again everyone, Just thought I would drop by an update all you kind hearted Lennox supporters. We heard back today from Evil Yolanda Elwood the Manager of Belfast City Council Dog Wardens department regarding visitation to Lennox. Yet again evil Elwood states that allowing our Daughter and ourselves to visit Lennox would be stressful for him, so again has refused. Now correct me if I am wrong but surely keeping a much loved family member locked up 24/7 in strange surroundings with strange people, without stimulation, in poor and inhumane conditions and most of all away from his loving family is really what would be stressful to him. What is EVIL Elwood hiding? what condition have these cruel people left him in?

Thank you everyone again for continuing to help us fight for our boy's life.

I am sure you have probably thought of everything, but is there any animal welfare people that can check lennox? Or can a vet pay him a visit to check on him?

I hope you get some answers soon x

UPDATE

I've just seen a photograph of Lennox and the appalling environment he is being kept in thanks to Belfast City Council's disregard for his welfare. The photo is here in my MN photos.

The kennels in which Lennox is being held are manned, a FOI request revealed, for just FOUR AND A HALF HOURS A DAY. Shock Sad

Please take a look, follow on the story on Twitter @ SaveLennox, post it on FaceBook with this link to Lennox's page and spread the word until SOMEONE acts to save this poor dog.
