Please TAG your dogs...

If you don't want your details on the dog for all to see, for the love of all things holy, just put a mobile / home phone number on it

Please

Thank you

I found a dog in the road today - she had no tag on, I didn't know what to do. Used DS's scarf to make a lead so she didn't get killed as she ran off (busy road) and used my mobile to google the local police to ask advice.

Finally heard someone yelling.... turns out it was her owner...

It would have been SO much easier with a phone number - I'd have known who to ring and tell I'd found their dog!

Speak up whippersnapper, the young today. Mumble, mumble, mumble - didn't anyone teach them to ennunciate? T'was different in my day...

Bella32 · 14/01/2010 17:12

Did you used to tag your Brontosaurus wrongly then, too?

Bella32 · 14/01/2010 17:13

He was a cutie, mind:

first pet

Arf. Used to be just my typing that was bad - now my links are pants too:

LBC's first pet

MitchyInge · 14/01/2010 17:17

gosh we get through so many tags and collars, it's a springer thing isn't it - diving into dense, prickly cover and coming back naked

usually have IF INJURED VET FEES WILL BE PAID in case someone finds him bleeding in the road and leaves him there rather than risk liability for vet bills and MICROCHIPPED/SCAN ME and mobile telephone number

luckyblackcat · 14/01/2010 17:19

Mitchy, unrelated but did you used to someone with the same initials?

Bella, that is a cute dino - cannot be mine looks like it conforms to the breed standard.

MitchyInge · 14/01/2010 17:24

I can't remember, depends if you think that person was nice or not

used to be someone beginning with v, originally, have had a few fresh starts incarnations on here

luckyblackcat · 14/01/2010 17:27

Lovely, intelligent poster

I'm no good at know who was whom, but your initials are the same as another poster I haven't seen for ages and I've been meaning to ask.

MitchyInge · 14/01/2010 17:29

it probably wasn't me, in all honesty am not excessively intelligent or lovely

Bella32 · 14/01/2010 18:46

Oh yes, you are

Even if you do run through prickly undergrowth and come back naked. As long as you look after your Woofas, that's okay

hatwoman · 14/01/2010 19:33

lbc looks to me like this mi has horses. am 99 per cent sure the old mi didn't.doubt she had a dog. similarly clever names though so ccan see why you wondered.

luckyblackcat · 14/01/2010 22:45

Glad someone else knows what I am talking about, thanks hw.

Bella32 · 15/01/2010 09:22

Did the other MI run through the undergrowth and come back naked though?

hatwoman · 15/01/2010 12:38

quite possibly. certainly more her style than grooming horses and tagging dogs. I miss her...

Goober · 15/01/2010 12:40

My dog has destroyed all sorts of tags, so I no longer tag her. She is microchipped though and is rarely off the leed.
