Neighbour spotted him across the road just after DD1 had fed him this morning...

He'd left most of his food as usual and gone off to the field across the road to get a mouse. He'd got so complacent about the road. Silly, silly boy.

And I posted on that funny cat thread last week...

I'm so sorry - I've lost lots of cats this way and it's awful. I actually saw one of my cats have a 'near-miss' yesterday

Much sympathy x

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 12/10/2009 08:47

awww it's so hard, I know.

MarthaFarquhar · 12/10/2009 08:51

How terrible. RIP CattyMonkey

differentWitch · 12/10/2009 09:02

I'm so sorry- we've lost 2 cats to road accidents. It's the worst way to lose them

LadyoftheBathtub · 12/10/2009 09:10

You poor thing, I dread this happening as my cat is an idiot on the road.

Look after yourself today.

madusa · 12/10/2009 09:13

i've lost 3 cats that way and it was heart breaking each time.

Take care of yourself....eat lots of chocolate.

I hope you're ok >

FABIsInTraining · 12/10/2009 11:26

Oh crap. That is so sad.

How are your children going to take it or do they know already?

ClaireDeLoon · 12/10/2009 11:28

Oh PuppyMonkey I'm so sorry. My stupid little cat was run over and killed a year ago - she was too daft to be safe around roads I think.

Have a little , have a little cry too, hope you're OK.

abra1d · 12/10/2009 11:29

I'm so sorry to hear this, PuppyMonkey.

Hassled · 12/10/2009 11:32

I'm sorry. Sometimes the annoying git cats are the ones you miss the most when they're gone.

Disenchanted3 · 12/10/2009 11:32

Sad Sad Sad

Bucharest · 12/10/2009 11:33

Sorry to hear that. xx

scroobiuspirate · 12/10/2009 11:39

puppymonkey

I am really sorry to hear about your cat. I have lost two to the road in recent years.

In fact i lost my beloved cat Pixie last week to leukemia (long thread on here). She was only 1 yr.

Really sorry, my heart goes out to you. x

tibni · 12/10/2009 12:19

Sorry to hear about your cat

pollydianasmummy · 12/10/2009 12:25

same thing happened to my boy a few years back. it's heart braking isn't it.

PuppyMonkey · 12/10/2009 12:25

Thank you everyone. DD1 is 12 and distraught about it. DD2 is only two and we haven't told her. DP cried his eyes out.

You feel silly don't you because of all the horrible things going on for others in RL, poorly children and stuff. Losing their husbands. But it's still horrid to lose a pet. Must pull myself together...

oh poor you and silly cat
htey are lovely

AboardtheAxiom · 12/10/2009 12:28

Oh you poor thing, I dread this happening to my cat, maybe you should all have a cuddle up on the sofa and talk about how funny he was what you all loved about him. It may not be the biggest ordeal in the world, but a cat is like a member of your family and you will all miss him.

FABIsInTraining · 12/10/2009 12:28

If your pet died and you weren't bothered then that would be bad. It just shows you care. So sorry for you all.

Northernlurker · 12/10/2009 12:45

You poor thing, it is awful.

seaglass · 12/10/2009 12:56

I'm sorry, that's really sad
