I like big dogs, cannot abide small yappy things (apologies to all owners of small dogs) I mean toy dogs like Chihauhau's are my least favourite dogs, dogs smaller than cats is just not right do havea spft spot for West Highland terriers though

I ADORE my Golden Retriever mix. Tbh he's not very smart, but was very easily trained b/c he doesn't think for himself. He could not be a sweeter or a more gentle dog though. Will have to get some pics of him on my profile!

Newfie, so excited as i get my puppy in November.

I have two Basset hounds, and love love love them and their huge soft paws and betragicated faces. It's a good job they're so adorable because they're not easy to house train.

I am a real doggy person. if i won the lotto and had a huge house we'd have loads of dogs. much to the annoyance of DP who really isn't

I have a cocker spaniel now and he is just gorgeous. very funny and incredibly clever.

but i also love great big dopey dogs, Boxers are my breed of choice as i have had 3. also Great Danes, St bernards, Neapolitan Mastiff's.....all those great big lumbering dogs most people avoid......bit like me really

but the dog i wish i could afford, the one i would love to own more than anything in the world and the one that DP has promised to buy me as a wedding present (despite not yet proposing ) is a Bulldog.
they are so very ugly they are beautifull. i adore them.

mamazon - i also love bulldogs and this breed was our original choice. however, having looked into it we decided against buying one because of the health problems that have been bred into them over the years. we felt that by buying one we were paying the irresponsible breeders to keep going. also, they have a relatively short lifespan in cpmparison to other bully breeds.

having said that, i do think they are adorable - and as far as i remember there is a bulldog rescue centre. you might be interested in this? it may be a good way to give a bulldog a home without contributing to the breeding problems. sorry - really not meaning to lecture you, just sharing some of my thoughts as someone who also loves this breed.

Mine is border collie too. So intelligent and faithful and beautiful eyes. Would be the sort I'd get if I was going to have a dog.

I just basically like any big, sort of dopey looking mixed breed dog. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter and now cannot bring myself to get a dog from a breeder (though at some point I'd like a King Charles). Golden retriever mixes are my faves.

Springer Spaniels, naughty dogs are my fave.

Mine is the best dog in the entire world. Cddly,affectionate. always pleased to se us (even if we've only been upstairs for a minute) huge enormous personality.
also like border colles (the sight of ours playing with the dachsund is hysterical).
I like labs, and big sloppy drooly ones too. And rough terrier types.
