Can anyone provide inspiration for a name for our new kitten?

She is a blue moggy, about 12 weeks old. We already have 2 cats which have fairly unconventional names - I am not particularly fond of human names for animals but just wants something that suits. The vet checked her out this morning and said she is going to be very feisty, rule the house and be stubborn! So she needs a name to live up to. She is a dark grey/blue and all one colour (not tabby) ... any ideas would be gratefully received.

Leadbelly

I've always wanted to call a cat Cobweb for some reason. Or Gobbolino (the Witch's cat - my fave book when I was little.)
But we always call our pets after alcoholic drinks, so unless there's an obscure real ale with those names, I probably won't!

all the non human names sound quite masculine though! I am surrounded by males hence the quest for a slightly more girly name ... still liking pogo though

my old black cat was called "Kali"

it means black/dark in hindi and is the name of one their most loved godesses

bodiddly · 02/09/2009 20:44

this is soooo hard. Dp said he likes Storm but we are now thinking that is a tad too harsh ... he now likes Bluebell. Not too sure - Im hard to please - that sounds toooo girly perhaps.

would you ever use a name for a pet that you have used before?

OP posts:
bodiddly · 02/09/2009 21:13

ok, so could you call a non-brown animal Coco? We keep coming back to the name for some strange reason!
