Don't know about the collars but you can get those little metal cylinders to attach to a collar (about £1.50 in Wilkinsons) - you can write your details on a piece of paper and put it in the cylinder.

They look sweet but look like they would come off easily (on my cats anyway). I use the normal collars with a buckle and a stretchy piece in case they get stuck somewhere. New cats haven't lost one yet. Dearly departed one probably only lost 2-3 in 11 years.

i'm looking for one too for neighbour's cat, which has been through loads of collars and keeps trying to eat the little birdies in my garden.

I don't like the idea of the cat not getting them off - have found our cats' collar hanging on a fence before now - would hate to think what would have happened ithaddent bee elasticated.

Does he need a collar to get inside (ie do you have one of those magnetic catflaps?) If he has been chipped would he be better off without a collar if he keeps losing them?
