You have kindof decided to have him! mine nibbled a painter's ankle as he went upstairs, painter thought it was me!

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 15:58

we have been allowed to reserve him

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 16:01

tee hee

mistlethrush · 09/04/2009 16:02

Better get some chew toys sorted!!!

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 16:04

we took him a squeezy present shaped toy
and he didn't want to play with the balls, jsut the present lol

we let him keep it with him

sorting fence, crate, bed, bowls and everything now

going to see him again tomorrow

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 16:13

I am very excited and I think he is very scrummy

thanks dogmamma

KingCanuteIAm · 09/04/2009 16:33

Woo Hoo!

So pleased for you all!

When do you get to finalise things and pick him up? (I am being selfish of course, I am desperate for more photos!)

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 16:34

we dont know for sure yet
dh has to meet hom to check that he likes him too(dh likes the dog, not the dog likes dh....every dog loves dh lol)

we are hoping to do that tomorrow

and then they have to do a home check

stleger · 09/04/2009 16:42

i found homecheck stressful! Like a social worker coming how tidy do I need to be, will I lose points for 'overtidy'!

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 17:08

I feel like that too lol

TrinityWino · 09/04/2009 18:50

dh is sorting fence

mistlethrush · 10/04/2009 09:42

Trinity - Dogs Trust? If so they may let you take him out for the day - don't know if things have changed from when we got ours, but we did rather a long time ago now!

stleger · 10/04/2009 13:11

Our 'social worker' was more concerned with the garden being secure than our living room (fresh daffodils, inexpensive but pretty, not an expensive mix). She didn't ming the bathroom suite that is still there, 6 months after it was removes as Barry and his van still haven't been! So fence is very important!

southeastastra · 10/04/2009 13:25

oh he's beautiful!

KingCanuteIAm · 10/04/2009 16:38

How did it go with the DH/puppy meet up Trinity? (and has DH got to the swearing stage with the fence yet?)

TrinityWino · 10/04/2009 21:01

hi everyone

mistle- its canine rescue not dogs trust but we have spent a good few hours with him now

stleger- yes the fence is our top priority right now, all else is sorted

thanks south

canute- he loved dh and dh thought he was great, he threw a ball for him further than we had been able to and duke was loving it and proper puffed out afterwards

and yes, there has been copious amounts of swearing but we're getting there

KingCanuteIAm · 10/04/2009 21:14

Glad it went well! Have you got one of those ball thrower things? My friend really damaged her shoulder throwing balls but was able to use one of those to great effect, they go further and take less effort to boot, oh and they are very cheap and allow the dc to have a go at entertaining - my kind of gadget

TrinityWino · 11/04/2009 08:45

oh yes, that was the first thing I bought when we went puppy shopping after we saw him yesterday

they had them at the centre and my friend had one too
I'm a bit sahit at it at the moe
the first time I tried it just went straight up in the air lol

the kids have got on well with it and I'm sure I'lll get there in the end

glad to hear it helped your friend as I have shoulder issues and hadn't thought that endless ball throwing may be a problem, hopefully the flinger will stop that
