holly not sure why you'd add this to your watched threads by replying rather than just closing the window, and if your phobia is so bad that you can't cope with seeing a picture of a sleeping pet rat for 2 seconds before closing the page I'd recommend CBT :)

Paddy mammary tumors are unfortunately very common in lady ratties as they have so many mammaries. Males are obviously immune from this specifically but just as susceptible to mycoplasma (IME the 2nd biggest killer of all my girls). I've heard they're smellier and friendlier/lazier than girls but I've never had boys so can't advise. Neither sex lives very long though, unfortunately :( they have such big personalities and make such an impact and then they're gone. But I love having them around and really missed their presence before getting this bunch
