Not really, it took me ages to work out how to do it! Goffert is lovely isn't he? I'll have to watch the whole thing later, it looks quite long.

Isn't he amazing? When I look at things like that I always imagine how his owners must have felt watching it. He was so beautiful. I'm off again!

The only film I've got of my boy is a 27 second video that dh made for me from 3 clips on my moble phone. I keep a shortcut on my laptop desktop so that I can look at it when I want but it does make me feel a bit . I really wish he'd lasted a bit longer as I got a digital camera with video for my birthday a couple of weeks after he died so no doubt I would have had loads of footage of him! I wish I knew how to show it to you.

Aw you'll have to find a way to post it Pixel. Make sure you find a suitably tragic song to go with it, so I can have a good sob.
It's made me think though. I hardley even have any pictures of my girl let alone video. Mind you I don't have so many of the kids either.

I've never been in the position of having a horse be put to sleep or die. I hope I never am for a very long time.

They're strong little buggers aren't they those Shetlands?!! What a lovely little pony! What weight can they carry??? She looked so big and yet it could still jump! Amazing!
I knew 2 shetlands (before mad birdsnest woman shot them) Simon and Bobby and both of them were naughty! They'd kneel down and sneak under the chain that was meant to keep them in their stable (which was an old cattle carriage from a train!!!)
I want a pony DAMN IT! must win the lotto this weekend.

Just watched a bit of Goffert (?!) Beautiful horse! Never really got the whole dressage thng though. I used to do it when I finnaly went to a good riding school but I think cross country is much more fun! My friend has a stunning black horse thoroughbredxshire and she does dressage with him. I would be far too bored to spend all the hours training. It must do the horses head in too surely?!!

Madold, it would have to be a very short tragic song! I will try to find out how to post though.

Manuka, what I love about that pony is that they do everything with her that you would do with a bigger horse. There is another video of her in a showjumping competition holding her own against the bigger ponies. I must say I never realised before that shetlands were capable of jumping like that. The other reason I think she is wonderful is that she is so full of life and charges around with the long-legged girl who jumps her, yet with her owner who is disabled (not sure how but she is always seen in an electric wheelchair or with sticks when not riding) she is angelic and behaves very sedately.

I've been told that a guide to weight carrying is 1 stone per 1 hand though I suppose it depends on the build of the pony as well. By that reckoning Star should be able to carry me easily but as she isn't mine and is in her twenties I'd better not try! It's got to be easier carrying little old me than it would be to drag a load of coal through a mine as her ancestors probably did .

I don't know where you are going wrong with the links by the way Madoldcatlady. I take it you are following the instructions on the right hand side of the box where you put the messages in? I just copy and paste in the address part to make sure I get it right. If you do a preview before you post the message you can tell if it is going to work or not before you give everyone the opportunity of a good laugh at your expense
