Some Mumsnetters will have seen my threads and those of other Mumsnetters about beautiful Belfast child Noah Donohoe. At 6.11pm today, it will be 2 years since Noah was last seen alive. It was the last ever day that Noah and his mummy Fiona could exchange a hug and say 'I love you'. Then Noah cycled off to meet his schoolfriends to work on his Duke of Edinburgh Award, but he never arrived. After Noah had been missing for 6 days, his naked body was retrieved from a storm drain.

The police (PSNI) immediately said that no foul play had been involved in Noah's disappearance and death. This was even before Noah had been formally identified and a post mortem examination carried out. No date or time of Noah's death has even been given. The police are not pursuing anyone in connection with Noah's death, except for 2 adults in their 30s who were prosecuted regarding his laptop after they tried to sell it. Nobody has been brought to justice for Noah's disappearance and death. It is being dealt with only by the Coroner, the next hearing date being 1st July, 2022.

Please help Fiona by signing her petition against the police application for files in the investigation into Noah's disappearance and death to be kept secret. As many signatures as possible are needed before 1st July. Please consider whether you can also share the petition on social media, or/and contact Brandon Lewis, your own MP and the media. Just come across this today. This is absolutely heartbreaking 💔. So so sorry to Fiona on both the loss of your beautiful boy and the appalling sea of shit you've been subjected to to date. I am in England so can't be at the inquest on Friday but I'll be checking in on updates on this thread.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM FIONA & NIAMH THIS EVENING - PLEASE SEE ATTACHED IMAGES:

As we already knew, at short notice this week and without any explanation, the coroner decided to livestream tomorrow's hearing instead of Fiona, Niamh and their legal team attending the court in person. The coroner has now, at such very short notice today, cancelled the hearing tomorrow. The reason given is that his JUNIOR counsel is unable to attend. Please note that the JUNIOR barrister does not always attend preliminary hearings and it is the senior counsel who speaks on the coroner's behalf. We can come to our own conclusions about why the coroner has now chosen not to go ahead tomorrow at all, as he surely could have done. However a number of important issues have been conveyed to Fiona and Niamh today during a consultation with their legal team, which throw more light on why the coroner seeks to avoid addressing them tomorrow. An urgent rescheduling before the summer recess has been requested, but as yet they do not know when that will be.

There has been a refusal to release Legal Aid funds for the family's own expert witnesses for Noah. Expert witnesses are essential and the coroner has already instructed his own expert witnesses.

This has all obviously devastated Fiona and Niamh, after an already traumatic week including anniversaries for Noah, and having to mentally prepare for tomorrow. But they are the strongest of mothers and women, and they are fighting for their beloved and beautiful Noah. Especially with our support, they will not be beaten.

Fiona and Niamh ask that the peaceful show of support at Langanside Courts, Belfast at 2pm tomorrow still goes ahead. Please attend if you can. 💙
