Many Mumsnetters will have heard about Noah Donohoe, a bright, musical, sporty, beautiful, gentle, funny, kind and innocent 14 year old Belfast boy, who disappeared on Father's Day 2020 while on a cycle ride to meet his schoolfriends. Noah never arrived and tragically his naked body was found in a storm drain 6 days later.

This Monday, 20th June 2022, at 6.11pm, on the eve of the 2 year anniversary of Noah's disappearance, there will be a gathering in Liverpool at the waterfront by Cunard Building. The time has been chosen because it is the last time Noah was seen on CCTV. All are welcome to join in, to remember Noah and to show solidarity with Fiona, so please just turn up. This is being organised by Sonia Bassey MBE and others.

Nearly 2 years after his disappearance, Noah's mother Fiona and his auntie Niamh are still fighting for the truth about what happened to their beloved Noah and for justice for him. Thank you to those many Mumsnetters who have signed Fiona's petition on Change against files in the police investigation being kept secret. As many signatures as possible are needed before the next coroners court date on 1st July 2022. For those who would still like to sign, a link can easily be found in the OP of this thread:

Noah's full inquest with a jury will be held next year, although another short preliminary hearing is scheduled for December.

The Noah Donohoe Foundation is run by The Community Foundation of Northern Ireland, carrying on Noah's beautiful legacy and keeping his spirit alive by helping other children from all communities across Northern Ireland. For example, 500 breakfasts for children have just been funded to help struggling families amid the cost-of-living crisis. In honour of Noah's birthday this year, individual grants totalling £16,000 are being awarded to schools and to music, sport and community groups for children and young people, following cross-community nominations.
