What is this?

§

It's on the top-right of my keyboard, sharing a key with the plus-minus sign.

§§§§§§§§§§§§

I haven't a clue what it's for. Anyone know?

OP posts:
HeadFairy · 16/12/2008 13:25

at worm parade!

CatWithKittens · 16/12/2008 14:24

Is § not customarily used to mean "paragraph number"?

notevenamousie · 16/12/2008 15:50

HeadFairy ~ means "approximately" and with a straight line under "is approximately equal to" I think. I don't have a section/ paragraph symbol, how very sad!

ZoeC · 16/12/2008 15:57

Two together (like an equal sign but both wonky) is approximately equal. The sign on it's own is called a tilde link here
