We can go tonight, tomorrow night, Thursday night or Friday night.

No. halloween is one day not whenever it fits in!

CiderwithBuda · 27/10/2012 18:11

No. It's the 31st. People will think you are mad. And probably won't have anything to give you anyway.

No - people won't have any treats in. Only time it's acceptable is if you clear it in advance with one or two neighbours.

Whooooosualsuspect · 27/10/2012 18:13

No

TheFarSide · 27/10/2012 18:13

It is never OK.

IslaValargeone · 27/10/2012 18:14

I only have sweets in on Wednesday. So dont bother, I'll have nothing to give you!

seeker · 27/10/2012 18:17

Of course it isn't. Why not go on the night?

OddBoots · 27/10/2012 18:18

Only if you have arranged it with the people you are visiting (although I think that applies to the 31st too).

picturesinthefirelight · 27/10/2012 18:20

The sort of unwritten rule round here is that you only visit houses that have been decorated.

rainbowinthesky · 27/10/2012 18:20

When ever you do go please don't come to my house and when I don't answer the door because I have a poorly child in the house please don't egg my house.

LeeCoakley · 27/10/2012 18:21

I won't have the house decorated, sweets ready or pumpkin outside. It's unfair on unsuspecting neighbours as well.

LynetteScavo · 27/10/2012 18:22

No.

And only go to decorated houses who obviously expect you.

TidyGOLDDancer · 27/10/2012 18:24

We will only have sweets in that night, as I have banned DP and DS from opening the bags until then and they will have been eaten by the next day once the masses have been at the door for them.

I would be annoyed to get repeated knocks at the door on other nights, It's only really okay on the one night.

TheProvincialLady · 27/10/2012 18:25

Not acceptable. A lot of people dislike people knocking on their doors on hallowe'en itself, let alone for days before and after. If you can't celebrate on the day then either don't celebrate at all or don't celebrate in a way that will annoy everyone.

Schlock · 27/10/2012 18:27

Absolutely not. Halloween is for halloween night only, if you knock on a door on the wrong night people will think you're nuts.

No, you only go out on halloween and only to houses that have a pumpkin/lights on, etc

CuriosityKilledTheCrap · 27/10/2012 18:28

Haha - I think it's a no then!

BackforGood · 27/10/2012 18:35

No

Nor on the 31st IMO

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor · 27/10/2012 18:39

Of course not.

changeforthebetter · 27/10/2012 18:41

No. It is intimidating to have gangs of teens roaming round. I don't answer the door. It could be anyone. Awful grabby imported "tradition".
