...can I take the liberty of starting another thread, since the other one filled up?

I think this cows milk protein diagnosis is wrong. Dd2 is back to normal so i've had milk in coffee to see if it sparks a response. Nothing. I posted in the breastfeeding topic and got pointed to a study which showed my antibiotic caused temporary lactose intolerance in breastfed infant. I think that's more fitting. I've got a dietician appoint on weds so gonna discuss how to reintroduce dairy to see. Mind you i've realised just how much cheese i usually eat and its been good reviewing my eating habits. We'll see.

I've pretty much got dd's service sorted.because the chapel is booked up i'll have to do it at 11am on a sat in aug. i dont think thats too bad, people can then have lunch and get away early enough to still have a weekend. But i'm waivering over the family tree thing as it'll be more work for me having to actually prep the tree findings etc. i may just display it for those who are interested but it did give me something to hang it all together. Far easier with a theme. Dd1 had pink footprints. I just cant decide.

stealthsquiggle · 26/03/2012 15:04

I think you could do the pink trees without having to go all out to get the family tree complete, TBH, DrsW - so just treat it as a decorative theme, and have copies of what you have out for anyone who is interested.

let us know how the dietician meeting goes. I can still make chocolate pizza instead Wink

Tinkerisdead · 27/03/2012 07:27

Bloody hell in the time it took to sort the chapel, the parish hall got booked up. Gonna try to get the local pub. Its not the magic i was hoping for but function rooms are nice enough. Yes maybe i could display it for those interested. Think i'll just decorate the place all pink flowers and bunting and put the tree up with her centre stage.

I've already bought dd1 a dress. She saw the christening gown and got upset saying she wanted to wear it.(its my wedding dress made into a romper with a detatchable skirt so that boys or girls can wear it).
So i've bought her a bridesmaid/party dress off ebay. Its one of these hongkong ones. Its arrived and its a bit gypsy wedding pink glitzy and lurid but dh and i think it'll keep her happy. Big princess dress when your sister is getting all the attention.

I'm gonna make the fruitcake this weekend and start feeding it!

Blathers im sure i saw your niece in tesco, with an older lady with tight curly hair. Wondered if it was your mum and sis gone in?

Blatherskite · 27/03/2012 19:38

Sounds like it might have been Sis's MIL. She loves near you too. Our Mum lives up in Yorkshire and is a teacher so she'd have been at work.

Blatherskite · 30/03/2012 09:28

Still no baby! Sis is getting very fed up now though

DS has been invited to a Knight and Princesses party. Trying not to get too excited as I know it won't be as good as the one I've got in my head for hearing about Stealth's parties :)

Blatherskite · 02/04/2012 09:00

Sis incredibly fed up now.

How are you DW? What did the nutritionist say? Is choc back on?

stealthsquiggle · 02/04/2012 10:56

Grin at the Knights and Princesses. Is DS going to dress up? I sorted out the "dressing up cupboard" at the weekend because DS needs hanging space for proper clothes. I wouldn't have said that my DC were particularly dressing-up focused, but we appear to have accumulated a huge box of (mostly homemade) costumes Blush

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 02/04/2012 14:32

Dress up is optional but yes, I think he will. We were handed down some knight bits from a cousin a few weeks ago which might be a bit big but will do.

Party Mum has mentioned blow up swords and I did say I'd seen colour in shields so we'll see what happens and I will report back Wink

stealthsquiggle · 02/04/2012 16:06

DD has been invited to a Pirates and Princesses party. Conveniently she has a princess/pirate reversible dress Grin - but she is adamant she wants to be a pirate, so apparently "we" have to accessorise accordingly. I think I may be putting pirate-y tops back on the multi-purpose boots which were bought about 6 years ago for DS and have done duty for pirate, musketeer, shepherd and I can't remember what else - not bad for £5.

OP posts:
Tinkerisdead · 02/04/2012 21:14

I'm loving multi purpose boots idea!!!
My dd has been invited to cousins heroes, fairies and princesses. Think sil is clutching at straws! Dd says she's going in her snow white costume so thats sorted.

Dietician told me to gradually introduce milk and i have, no reaction from dd2 at all so i'll go back to normal diet. My chest is agony today. Didnt even get dressed as crushing pain is awful. I felt so bad that i actually taught dd how to get help or call an ambulance. It broke my heart hearing her tell dh 'if mummy falls down and i cant wake her up...'

Anyway, i thought we were getting some baby news! I've booked dd2's service 25th august so now i gotta figure out table decorations, think im gonna make my own bunting just pinking shears to cut triangles. Def gonna get the family tree printed up to display. Trying to find readings. I want one about parenting and one thats like a blessing on the child or one about daughters/sisters. I cant find many.

stealthsquiggle · 02/04/2012 21:26

I got a book for DS's naming ceremony which was for humanist celebrations but had some good readings in. I don't rate my chances, but I will have a look for it.

Baby is on it's way!!! Are you still up for a visit DW?

Blatherskite · 04/04/2012 13:23

Baby is here - but I guess you know that DW as it was all over the toddler group page before anyone bothered to tell me. In fact, I found out from some smug cow on Sis's FB page.

I am actually crying Sad

stealthsquiggle · 04/04/2012 13:29

Sad Blathers. Was it actually DSis who updated, or her DH?

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 04/04/2012 13:44

No idea. I asked how they knew before me (the toddler group page is locked) and she said she had "insider information"

Niiiice. Feel like shit now. We've never been super-close but this takes the biscuit. I've been demoted below toddler group cronies now!

stealthsquiggle · 04/04/2012 13:48

I would hold off judgement IIWY, just in case one of the toddler group mafia works at the hospital or something and the update didn't come from DSis at all (she says, in "do as I say not as I do" mode, having had meltdowns over similar issues with DB1 Blush)

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 04/04/2012 13:55

As far as I can make out, Sis's MIL was at toddler group with Niece 1 when she got the call and made the announcement.

BIL then phoned my Mum who texted me the news - but the text failed. By the time she noticed and resent, it was an hour later and I'd already found out by facebook.

Doesn't seem to be helping though. I still feel like shit.

There is history. I've always come 6th, sometimes 7th after the dog in that family and Sis now puts her in laws way above her blood relatives when it comes to prioritising (I had her bail at the last minute on a family day tip out once that I spent months organising because her BIL asked them round to dinner!) and Toddler group cronies have all know the ins and outs of her pregnancy when I haven't - I guess is shouldn't have been a surprise that they would know before me

Tinkerisdead · 04/04/2012 13:57

Oh blathers! No i dont use facebook for exactly this reason. I havent been back to toddler group yet purely as my blood clinic appointments keep clashing. Oh im so sorry you found out like that how terrible. Have you asked dsis how its happened? Pm me and let me know what you have?

God i feel terrible for you. How horrible! My sil put dd2 photo on facebook and i was fuming as her grandparents hadnt seen her and i dont use facebook or put my children on there.

Blatherskite · 05/04/2012 14:09

I'm visiting tomorrow. Are you free DW?

Tinkerisdead · 05/04/2012 19:45

Oh Sad no i'm not because its easter dh and i are trying to get round all the prospective godparents to ask them all in person. Im busy each of the four days.

Will you visit her another time again soon do you think? I'm so sorry. I cant even change my plans as dd is doing egg hunt and wont stop talking about it.

Blatherskite · 05/04/2012 21:56

Noooooo! Maybe I'll text you while we're on our way in/out and we can maybe catch you? Otherwise, I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Tinkerisdead · 06/04/2012 19:52

I met blathers!! My dd wanted to go home with her i think. Thank you so much for the flowers and easter egg. It did cheer me up esp as dd's cold has rendered my chest croaky wheezy mess.

I've just been commissioned to make a birthday cake! eek..
Now to be honest i'm not gonna charge because ive never made a cake for someone else before so im gonna see how i handle the pressure. But i've agreed to make a princess castle. Shit.

Come on now ladies. Find me a simple enough castle to make thats gonna look stunning enough to warrant further requests! Help.

Blatherskite · 06/04/2012 21:03

She's gorgeous, if she'd have fitted in the car I'd have taken her with me Wink Bless her for coming and holding my hand.

I'm glad the flowers and choc cheered you up, I had fun delivering them. Sorry it wasn't chocolate pizza but when I saw that egg I couldn't resist, it looked yummy!

Stealth is your lady for a castle I should think. Is it a girls one or a boys one? Isn't there a simple one in that 50 easy cakes book?

Tinkerisdead · 06/04/2012 21:16

Yeah ive got the book but its a bit too fort like. It has to be a princess castle. I cant find link to stealths flickr page to see if shes made one before. Googling gives loads of methods of making the turrets etc. and ive also realised its week before dd's thanksgiving service. I'd like to do it though cos its for a good friend.
