I am just interested to know...
If you have had subsequent pregnancies did you roughly put on the same amount of weight.

I have had 2 children and both times balloned and really struggled (still struggling) to lose the weight. My youngest is 13 months.

I am really considering number 3 but dint want to be huge again afterwards (size22+).. I wouldn't say that I ate any different during og than I do normally. I eat healthily etc..

Do you think our bodies are programmed so to say and will no matter what retain the weight , gain as soon as we find out pg etc... or do you think it is yourselve who controlls this...

Hope this makes sense..

None with the first (lost half a stone¬! Hyperemesis), again none with the second but don't know why, as tummy grew thighs shrunk, with DS3 1.5 stones.

but don't imagine I'm skinny- I gained loads whilst breastfeeding instead!! I'm up 2 stone on where I started out

1 and a half stones each time. I didn't feel like I controlled it at all - just followed my instincts.

Lost a stone in first half (hyperemesis) and then put about 1.5 stone in second. I was back to pre preg weight about 2 weeks after birth.

I put on 16kg, lost them all in no time through breastfeeding mostly

5.5 stone with dd . Obviously some of the weight was pregnancy related but I think a good 3.5 - 4.5 stone of it was through using pg as an excuse to pig out big time! Lost 1 stone immediately after birth, another stone within a few weeks (without trying), then took about 6 months of Weight Watchers and exercise to lose the rest.

Am TTC db2 at the moment, and will definitely NOT be gaining anywhere near that much weight again. Will be continuing to exercise (for as long as possible) and eat healthily right through - with the odd treat for baby, of course!

Well madmarchhare, hg was crap but at least there was something positive in it for us wasn't there (somehow, I'd have gone for the fat option!)
