7 o'clock, ds is 9 months and dd 3. don't intend to EVER let them stay up later well, not until they can do so with no involvement from yours truly

Once dd settled down into a regular bedtime (ie when she stopped wanting to feed from 6pm - 11pm solid) we started taking her up at 7.30 - she's 4 now and bedtime is still 7.30.

bunny2 · 09/06/2005 21:14

ds 4, 8.00 pm
dd 6 months 7.00 pm

bunny2 · 09/06/2005 21:14

compo · 09/06/2005 21:15

btw 6.30pm - 7.30pm for ds aged 14 months

Hulababy · 09/06/2005 21:19

DD is 3yo, and she goes to bed between 7:30 and 8pm (depending on what we have been doing, dinner time, and what we are doing next day), has a story and then settles down on her own. She does soemtimes read to herself after I ahve left, but generally not for long.

At weekends bedtime is sometimes later - again depends on what we are doing. At a wedding evening party on Saturday so who knows when bedtime will be!

ScrewballMuppet · 09/06/2005 21:21

All the times posted are roughly the same.

I am curious as to what time your children wake up at to?

Mine go to bed for 7 and wake up about 6-630. I'm debating whether to put the eldest who is 4 to bed later in the hope of an extra 1/2 -3/4 of an hour in bed or time that I can get myself ready.

Dd, 4 yrs old - bed around 8pm, up between 7:30 - 8pm.

Ds, 12 months old - bed between 7:45pm - 8pm, atm up anytime between 6:15am - 7:15am. I'd love him to go at 7:30pm but cannot bear the thought of getting up before 6am (before 7am is bad enough!)

Hulababy · 09/06/2005 21:37

DD wakes up around 7am onwards. She rarely wakes before this nowadays, apart from on a Tuesday when I have to take her to PILs - and she hates being woken up at 6:45am. It is usually a bit later though. She tends to sleep for around 10-12 hours, and if she goes to bed later then she will ge up later - handy at weekends

michellemcmanus · 09/06/2005 21:37

some kdis are born early risers
ds1 wont sleep in no matter what time he goes to bed
wakes up in a lovely mood and is great all day, BUT like his mum collapses early evening

eidsvold · 10/06/2005 07:25

dd1 who is almost 3 goes to bed at 7pm unless she has had a big day with a short nap and then earlier - anywhere between 6 and 6.30. We have tried keeping her up late as she is an early riser - 5.30am during the week... around 6am on the weekends.

dd2 7 months old goes down generally between 5 and 6.

colditz · 10/06/2005 08:57

9pm, 9;30pm. Up between 8am and 8;30am. He's 2.

I could put him to bed earlier, but it would involve a complete routine change, and he would probably get up before it gets light!

acnebride · 10/06/2005 09:02

ds is 17 months - bedtime is 7 though there's a slight tendency for it to be 6.50. he chats to himself for a while before sleeping.

Gets up at anything from 5.20 to 7 but just now it's usually at 6. Wish it was later but just can't bring myself to shorten the evening further.

nell12 · 10/06/2005 10:22

DD (8m) in bed by 6 30 and wakes between 6 and 7. DS (9y) in bed by 8 and asleep by 9. He wakes by 7am. I have found that they will wake at the same time whatever time you put them to bed, but the littlies always sleep better at night if they have slept well in the day!
My two will always have a reasonably early bedtime... I value my downtime too much

Gwenick · 10/06/2005 10:24

8(ish) for both DS's (4 3/4yrs and 18 months).

anchovies · 10/06/2005 10:25

Ds 17 months goes to bed between 7 and 7.30pm and gets up at 7am. Sometimes we get a lie in until 8am at the weekend though if no one is up and moving to disturb him.

Gwenick · 10/06/2005 10:25

oh and as for 'getting up' times - DS1 is usually up around 7.30-8 (I think - I'm still in bed he just goes and watches TV). DS2 usually in bed until 8.30-9 (although it's not uncommon for him to still be in bed at 9.30!!!!

beansmum · 10/06/2005 10:27

ds goes to bed between 7.45 and 8 and is usually up around 7am, unless I'm exhausted, then he wakes at 5.

jambo1707 · 10/06/2005 11:46

17 month twins in bed for 7pm and generally asleep within 10-15 mins

3 year old bed by 8 although as it is nice outside he is out the front more and therfor so tired he is asleep also by 7pm

Tommy · 10/06/2005 11:50

started putting DS1 to bed at 7pm when he was about 10 weeks old and still do (he's 3 and a half now). Up for bath at 6pm and hopefully asleep by 7

tarantula · 10/06/2005 11:56

I think it depends what time they have to get up in the morning. DD 17 mnths goes at 9 but doesnt have to get up in the morning for nursery or anything so sleeps till between 8/9 (unles it the weekend when she seems to want to get up at 7 cos I want a lie in grrrrrrrrrrr). that way I get to have 3 hours with her in the evening which is great.
