4 - was in Holt. I think that's quite near you, is it? We spent one day on the beach at Wells, and one on the beach at Sheringham, a short visit to friends in North Walsham, plus an awful lot of time round the campfire drinking vin rouge.

Top camping tip - lots of red wine and a piriton, guaranteed good night's sleep!! I had to sleep with DS1 on a semi-deflated airbed (he popped it - grrr...) with him rolling onto me all night from the still-inflated side, and I still was completely out for the count!

drlove8 · 16/07/2009 18:44
  • loads happened today, i sent my seller a wee message to say i'd got the wrong nappy , and then i went out after waiting for a bit .when i got back there was a lovely message for me, the poor girls all embarrised and offered to reimburse the money and give me something for the trouble, was really sweet. BUT i had just decided to pass the nappy on to a friend ,( well i have two who could use it tbh )so i just sent her message back its ok..have found someone who will give it a good home! ....so alls good....
im gonna look into the ittis, but im hankering after a flutterby , dont know what DH will think about it. Im getting so addicted to cloth if the door goes in the morning , he says " that'll be more nappies for you d" lol ....well its better than handbags, at least the cloth gets used everyday!
swampster · 16/07/2009 20:02

I am thinking of buying a few medium Ittis to take on holiday... or do I just take a holiday from cloth??? will DH notice if I get more nappies? Sadly, yes, I think.

twoclimbingboys · 16/07/2009 20:14

boo hoo , i missed the ff.

JennyPenny22 · 16/07/2009 22:47

I missed the FF too . grrr - I would have probably got it if I was hope all day.

Went to thorpe park today. Got to the car park and thought I would change both the girls so I could leave the dirty ones in the car and then not have to worry for a few hours as the changing facilities there are not good(Used Night nappies!). Anyway, Opened Talia's nappy, didn't even realised she had pooed and OMG it FLOODED everywhere with runny BF baby poo!!! LOL. It spatted everywhere! I had it on my hand, used tonnes of baby wipes, went all over her clothes - she even got some on her face!! Sorry to go into detail but I just couldn't believe the amount that came out of such a small baby!! LOl. BUT the good news is that the nappy hadn't actually leaked. It was only when I opened it, unprepared that it went everywhere. Not a single drop had come out before that - not even on the wrap! That was with a size 1 tots bot and a medium WN wrap.

Am really that I tried giving DD2 a bottle of EBM today and she wouldn't take it. DD1 never took a bottle and it was really hard and I swore I wouldn't make the same with DD2 and express regually and give it to her in bottle. I did it for a while but then life and convience got in the way and I just BF as it was easier than doing bottles. I just hated the issue with DD1 - I couldn't so much as go to the supermarket on my own - even when DH was at home. Going to keep trying.

4 that sounds lovely about all those ittis! I still haven't tried Elouises large on her. I am thinking I might stock up on some as and when they come up preloved (IF this one suits her that is) for in the winter when she needs to wear trousers. At the moment her nappies are too bulky - it doesn't help that she has very short legs so getting a bigger size doesn't work. She is constantly in skirts and dresses but that won't work in winter!

TheNatty · 17/07/2009 07:55

jenny try babylegs and denium dresses/skirts for the winter.
i found that girls trousers were just too slim cut to get over even the smallest cloth nappies. boys jeans are cut so much better and i dont have that problem at all! and you have funds

actually LMAO at the poo incident, ive not had that pleasure yet DS2 is doing frequent very small ones still.

first day on my own with all three DC... eek!

4andnotout · 17/07/2009 07:56

Help! I sold some flexitots on tuesday and i have been contacting her ever since as i haven't got her address to post to, and i have to post today because i won't have time tommorow, do you think i should just refund the payment?

OP posts:
TheNatty · 17/07/2009 09:38

4 was it paypal? in which case i think u can get the address from therE?

treedelivery · 17/07/2009 10:46

Hi all

2 exploding nappies here, we had to bath her in a toy box at preschool last week, today she had to go under the preschool tap, and into a size 5 disposable!

Happy shopping everyone.

LAst day at preschool for dd1

Nappies on line in torrential rain. Ah well, at least it's soft water

Have bought Bold powder to freshed the nappies up, they were starting to get a bit whiffy. Jenny so you still use it with no ill effects?

Have had a shopping accident [have a cold type thing so blaming that! ] and bought a BBSS from CNT. COuld have had a brown itti, but I only have on ss and I do like them very much.

Have decided itti sizes bear no relation to their fit or absorbancy. Harriet can wear sml, med and large and they all do fine. It seems so long as they close and don't gape at the leg they are bob-on.

Hatts went to bed in a Beehind magic all in one, we usually put a microfleece and fleece wrap on for the night about midnight. She slept from 10-5, oh the joy, and it didn't leak and it felt though dry.

Am now loving that nappy lol! I had stuffed an extra fuzzi bunz insert into it too, so it did a sterling job.

Are fuzzi out of favour now? I really like them still.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 17/07/2009 11:23

tree: I think Fuzzis are the only pockets I actually really like! They are very reliable on Benjamin (2yo & heavy wetter) as long as stuffed with prefold (as microfibre doesn't work with him very well, unless there are lots of it! LOL) So I'll never never get rid of my stash of large Fuzzibunz! - but most other pockets I try, they get moved on before long!

And I tried your idea of Fuzzis as a wrap and a medium is lovely on Clement, even over a size 1 Cotton Tots! As seen here:
