Octo- do you have any large yellow itti's in stock? I can't seem to find one anywhere!

I think im going to thin my stash a bit and get rid of all my flexitots (size 1&2) as i can't even remember when we last used them!
Do you reckon £5 each is about right?

OP posts:
Octothechildherder · 01/07/2009 10:00

Only have red, purple or cream. Sorry! Have you tried crafty n clothy - she had a sale on too.

£5 sounds a good price for the flexitots to me.

I have 5 large fuzzis with an insert each id anyone wants to make an offer

4andnotout · 01/07/2009 10:27

I have tried babybots, craftynclothy, loads more

Wail and now i can't find one of my nappies anywhere! It's the royal blue itti in medium, ive had it ages but now it isn't in the stack, dp better not have left it at his mothers as she will kill it!
I hate disorder!

TheNatty I have 2 tots wraps (new style) size 0, orange and blue stars, used once only if you're interested.

Octothechildherder · 01/07/2009 10:42

Green baby?

Octothechildherder · 01/07/2009 10:42

Cheeky wipes people sell them too.

BaronConker · 01/07/2009 14:20

TheNatty I'm selling a stash of newborn size wraps, and also have a size small ME Rikki in white. Gave away all the nappies though, sadly.
You must be so hot! I remember sitting with my feet in a washing up bowl of cold water when I was pregnant in summer!

GothAnneGeddes · 01/07/2009 15:14

I've just come to celebrate as all my nappies and wraps have finally arrived and dd now has a cloth bottom. .

She's currently wearing a Bambinex teddie + Airflow and I've also got the oraganic Sandies and some Tots Bots Fluffles that were going cheap on eBay. You can tell I've got no tumble dryer.

Octo - Will use the Pop and Gro again soon. Used the boosters last night, they are brilliant. Definitely super thirsty fabric.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/07/2009 15:40

TheNatty: were you interested in the microfibre Little Lamb I have? Wasn't sure if it was me or someone else you were saying yes to! If so, just email me on [email protected]

How's everyone surviving the heat? It's over 26C in the house - awful!

twoclimbingboys · 01/07/2009 16:41

The bedrooms here are staying at 24 degrees overnight!

I think I am going to sell 3 fluffles, all size 2 (£7 posted for all 3), and 2 large WNNN (old and very old style) the 2 for £9.50 posted with the NN inserts (the elastic has gone in the very old style one but no leaks here, the other one has really cute monkey embroidery).

The fluffles have stained inners, the WNNNs are very, very lightly stained on the blue fleece inners but I thought I should mention it!

I still have size 2 and 3 tots rainbow striped fleece wraps and 2 toddler stacinator wraps for sale too. I will be listing it all on cnt and ukpl in the next few days.

BaronConker · 01/07/2009 18:30

twoclimbingboys - can I bagsy the size 3 rainbowfleece wrap? How much would you like for it?

Octo - I love, love, love the Pop n Grow. It soaked up four hours of wee with just one of the boosters in (can you tell DH was looking after the baby?) and then dried SO FAST after washing. Also really like the lovely bright yellow colour. Am def recommending to my clothie friends... Also, did you say you had a spotty fleece wrap for sale?

twoclimbingboys · 01/07/2009 18:58

baronconker - of course. £4.50 posted ok? Or you could have that and a stacinator fleece wrap for £8 posted? My email and paypal is vikki_higham at yahoo dot co dot uk

rachelinscotland emailed you.
rusmum can i have a couple of sandys and the ll wrap and nappy?

VintageGardenia · 02/07/2009 11:41

Erm hello, can anyone come on here or do you have a secret inititiation rite?

I am not really a cloth user but I am keen to swap over so for the last couple of weeks I've been trying out Bum Genius nappies, this one to be precise. Now they make a lovely little bundle of ds's bottom (he is 11 months) but could someone please answer my questions? Please bear in mind I am totally new to this lark.

  • I use the Bum Genius outer, the absorbent bit you slot into it, and a disposable papery liner. Every single time the nappy has been dirty instead of just wet, the liner and contents have been smeared all over the main bit of the nappy so the whole lot has to come off & go in the wash. Am I putting it on wrongly / using rubbish liners (these ones)? Also the liner seems wet and stuck to ds's body (and for e.g. this morning he only had it on for an hour or so before I checked it, so not as if drenched beyond capacity).
  • from the first wash, all the absorbent pieces went grey and unappetising. They are made of microfibre, for added absorbency I suppose, does microfibre just go grey?

Thank you!

VintageGardenia · 02/07/2009 11:42

Sorry please tell me if I should have started a separate thread for my questions!

purplesal · 02/07/2009 14:24

Hi Vintage Gardenia - welcome to the cloth nappy world!!! Yes, the whole nappy is likely to get dirty and yes you would wash the whole nappy everytime. Just like you put a clean disposable on every nappy change, you put a clean washable nappy on every nappy change. I don't recognise the paper liners that you show, but there are seveal diferent types of liners, some are quite papery, some are more silky and some are more like really thick kitchen towel. I didn't like the papery ones at all, but found the silky ones better and also the thick kitchen towel ones. But for my second child I discovered fleece liners and would never have gone back to a paper liner again. They stay in place, are cheaper and keep the babys bottom dry.

And yes microfibre does tend to grey a bit, but at least it's stuffed inside the pocket.

Is that helpful?

Octothechildherder · 02/07/2009 14:32

I second what purplesal says but also with microfibre you must make sure it is dry in the core as it may feel dry to touch but if you squeeze it hard it can sometimes feel damp and then go a bit moudly/greyer - thats when they can sometimes start to smell!

Octothechildherder · 02/07/2009 14:33

I have bought some longies from Dragon Flair to take pics of them in my new nappy wardrobe and they are totally DIVINE! I need another baby fgs! They are pink/purple with embroidered butterfly and flowers - I have fallen in love with them - more of a crush than the UD handpainted nappy!

Octothechildherder · 02/07/2009 15:05

link for them

www.dragonflair.co.uk/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=302

4andnotout · 02/07/2009 15:42

The link just took me to the site not the longies, im longing for another baby but my periods haven't returned from having dd4 (8mo) yet!
