Tie-on cotton or wool nappies and Isme Vismes - any good for a newborn?

Does anyone have any experience of tie-on nappies such as these by Disana or these cotton ones by Schmidt at the natural clothing company ?

What did you think?

Which boosters/wrap would you recommend?

I was thinking they might be good for a newborn because they look as if they would fit quite snuggly.

Also any one used Isme Vismes? How would you say they are for newborns?

Thank you

Perhaps 'wifey' was a typo for 'lady' ?

I'll vote for a bird. Else a worrying bloke. Either way I don't care.

Go on then, Maisie, show us yer tackle.

Lol at this thread! Thank you for the wrapping info Maisie and Misdee - I did wonder at how squished tiny littles get in the diagonal sling position - some sites say that they like to be in the foetal postion though...oh I don't know, i'll get one anyway and see how I get on.

I think Maisie's a girl too

Oh, I so disappointed. I wanted to see the oink ones. I just got back from the shops, I was trying to buy some oink to make my nappy, but they said they would have to order it. Then after I left the locked the shop door. Strange people (scratches head)

hub2dee · 12/05/2005 12:46

Perchance were they threatend by your burly frame and swagger ?

Koala Update (such a cute name). Got this and have tried it once, it's very easy to use and has the same lovely soft fabric as the MEOS and Sandy's. I managed to get a nippa to work with it, just about and it's certainly easier than a terry square (just bought 4 of those too - for the holidays ).

It's not been put to the ultimate test yet, but I'm getting a couple more, so must be good . Is anyone going to setup Nappies Anonymous so that I can start my 12 steps before I disappear under a mountain of nappies

charleypops · 13/05/2005 16:39

lol at your "12 steps"! Have you got a good wrap for the Koalas?

Can anyone recommend a good wrap for flat terries?
