How old were you when you became a mum?

That says it all. I was 33. When I first started posting on mumsnet I got the feeling that most members were late twenties/early thirties - don't know how much that has changed though.

I was 26. I am now 44!

Dior - my 2 best friends are both much older than me

one is 38 and I met her when we were both pg with our first DS's - she's got a 4yr old and a 2yr old

the other is 41 and I met her when I started going to our church - she's got 3 kids - 15,14 and 10

lucky I had mine early as I menopaused at 36!

LOL Gwenick - I'm looking forward to 30 (end of June this year) - feel like I've been in my 20s nearly a decade!

TinyGang - I'm 40 now and expecting no2 in May.

DH can't WAIT for me to hit 30 - I teased him rotten about it as he feels he's getting 'old' now he's hit the big 3 0

I just remind him that while I'm nearly a year closer to 30 - by the time he's approaching his 40's I'll still only be mid 30's

35, nearly 36. I am now 38

(feeling v smug as dh read out some article from the paper today that said that your forties and fifties are the happiest decades of your life, so ROLL ON!)
