So I went to a friend's house for lunch yesterday....

.....and she opened a bottle of champagne. She poured a glass for everyone, including a mini glass for her 4 year old dd. She asked me if my dd (same age), would like one, and I politely refused. Must admit I was a bit taken aback. What do you lot think?

God yes, morningpaper, us SAHMs have champagne atunch every day - it's one of the perks of the job

marthamoo · 16/02/2005 19:58

at lunch, I mean (had too much Bolly this lunchtime, obviously)

gosh are we meant to?

I really need to get the SAHM handbook, I did not realise! I'm missing out on all the perks and benefits!

Oh daaahling, you are so slack - one must have one's perks to make life bearable

lunavix · 16/02/2005 20:10

The only perk I've indulged in was downing a few vodka and oranges before work a few nights ago! (I know that makes me not quite a proper SAHM but its only a couple of evenings )

If I knew that we had lunch time drinking to look forward to, I'd probably be more enthusiastic about getting out of bed each morning!

morningpaper - just to say that the lunch in question was a Sunday lunch. But now that you mention it, maybe we should all consider champers at lunch during the week too - great idea!
