I'm thinking totally ignore, which is easy to do at home but if he says it in public i'm going to die.

Not sure where he's got it from, I'm pretty sure we've never said it around him.

Hurrah, Malory.

Was beginning to think I'm becoming a po faced, uptight snob.

I'm not proud of letting a few slip out - I feel bad about it. But I can't help it! And I am with those who find it funny - sorry. Not if a child swore all the time and wasn't taught otherwise. But some of the ones on this thread (like "mind that fucking bus granny" - and primark's DD's Fuck off!) - are hilarious - it's the shock value probably.

pmsl at your xmas turd too pruners!

i still cant see what is actually wrong with swear words though,i mean, what damage do they cause?obviously its not nice to swear at somebody, but then its not nice to be verbally agressive to somebody anyway regardless of what words you use.

its not like they are offensive because they are targetted at a particular group, like the 'n' word or the 'r' word.they are just words, which some people find offensive for reasons that are buried in history.
