The great tragedy of Numberblocks

I've always admired Numberblocks, I think it's a perfect maths show and I wish it was around when I was little. DD has always enjoyed it and watched it sporadically through the years. She didn't pay much attention to the times tables episodes when she was a preschooler because she didn't get what they were about but I thought this is going to be so useful when the time comes. Now she's in Year 2 and doing her times tables, she won't watch Numberblocks because it's babyish! ☹️ I told her, it's not babyish! Numberblocks covers things I didn't do until I was at the end of primary school! Nope. I'll put it on for her toddler brother and hope she gets distracted watching it 😄 Any other Numberblocks appreciators here?

@Bubbles332 I just came on to say the same. My school uses the Mastering Number lessons from the NCETM and they actually include showing the class episodes of Numberblocks.

I love the Counting Cars song. Somebody obviously had a truly dreadful drive to the South West on a Friday evening and wrote it on the way!

Love Numberblocks and Alphablocks!
Discovered it while I was a TA in Reception and my DD was 2 so it was perfect timing!

My 3 year old boy is completely obsessed. Has all the teddies, all the toys. He plays numberblocks all day. Whenever he's allowed to watch tv it is numberblocks. Ive not encouraged this either he just decuded it was his faviurite thing in the world when he was 2 and it's still going strong.

Im really hoping they bring out an octonaughty figure toy as he and his older sister love playing with the terrible two figures. They are often put in 'jail' 🤣

He's in preschool at the moment and is doing so well with maths and adding numbers already. His writing isnt the best, but he can do all his number bonds to 10 and some simple adding in the teens.

Numberblocks has been fantastic for him!

My son is studying maths at University and recently bonded with other students over Numberblocks! 😂 Someone put it on their laptop and they all gathered round and revelled in the nostalgia. 😊

Ugh, can’t edit but just remembered it was Numberjacks… not Numberblocks. But similar concept and something that stuck with them and contributed to a love of maths obviously!

My DC love it, but my 3 year old is really terrified of Octonaughty.

He can stand like a pillar or make himself wider, and crawl like a creepy rectangular spider, he is OCTOBLOCK!

bloody love that song
