Every child is different. My eldest is 18 and would still use a buggy if she could. We have a four year gap and I vividly remember my younger dd at 2 pushing our eldest who was 6.5 down the paseo in Spain….

Aw, this gave me lovely flash backs to my two! My eldest - 17, would also jump on a buggy now 😆 and mainly travels with some form of wheels underneath him...
Maybe 'coz he used the pram til gone 5 🤦‍♂️😆

OP, I agree with PP who said its probably mainly people who drive who's kids are out of buggy sooner.
Us walkers find a system that works for us.

I'd be a little concerned about their stamina. We don't like driving if we can avoid it and our youngest has always been encouraged to walk. We didn't use anything after age 3.

This! My older child wouldn’t go in a buggy after 2 and a half. The second was still using it at school pick up age 5 because he was exhausted. Just do what’s right for your child, OP, and don’t worry about anyone else

I can't see any issue, as long as they do walk sometimes. I thought most kids hated the buggy at that age!

Mine stopped just before third birthday but that because he was on a scooter by then

My buggy time has passed but used it with my eldest much longer asI lived in town and walked everywhere. Being able to just Chuck everything under/in was a godsend. Youngest got rid of buggy by 2.5 as I’d movedoutto the country and went everywhere by car.

My DS sat in his until he started school, at that point I told him it had to go as he’d get laughed at being dropped off at school in pushchair. I really miss it, DS walks so slowly so it takes ages to get anywhere and I miss having somewhere to hang my shopping.

Mine still had them until four and a half.

They couldn't walk as fast as me so I needed the buggy so we weren't late all the time. I miss having a buggy for shopping.
