What does everyone do about dressing kids for school. If we get dressed before breakfast and playtime they’ll get messy but we’re on time but if we leave getting dressed til last we have tantrums and we late 90% of the time

It’s a personality thing I think too. My 6yo would happily have me dress her still but my nearly 3yo won’t let me, she has to do it all herself! So she quite often has stuff on back to front Grin She’s very stubborn and independent. DD1 is much more placid and chilled.

ah see i have 18 and 15 year old girls and can’t really remember when they dressed themselves. my boy was a late surprise and he’s very spoilt and stubborn and quite often lazy. a lot like his father really.

Our quick DC eats then gets dressed then plays.
Our dawdler DC takes forever to do anything, so gets dressed first, then knows he has whatever time is left to eat rather than me having to guess how long getting dressed will take. That DC does sometimes spill drips of milk but it dries off and I wash uniform daily so it doesnt have time to start to smell.

Exactly this, mine is 5 and just... Messy! He also always goes for a poo after breakfast/before we leave so we just have his uniform in the bathroom and he puts it on right before we go.

We have the same 5 year old 🤣

Put aprons on them. And stop being late to school 90% of the time as it’s appalling behaviour and disruptive.
