snotty noses are gross..why do some people not bother wiping their childrens snot encrusted faces?

lovely friend of mine has immaculate house with three immaculate children except for snot all over their faces..constantly/She just doesn't see it.I have said to her fgs wipe their nose..she laughs and says ..oh I just wait until bathtime..GROSS!

This makes me all three of mine have perpetually runny/snotty noses, it comes with the asthma and the allergies. I do wipe their noses all the time or so it seems
But god, sometimes they are fed up with it I am fed up with it, their noses are sore, or god forbid I am busy doing something else. Rather than sitting at their feet with outstretched tissue

My kids all went though a phase when even attempting to wipe a nose was a drama - I prefered the quiet life!

If I wiped away snot every time I saw it I would be wiping CONSTANTLY

I do intervene when it's green, though

It's funny but snot used to be one of those things that disgusted me. Now I am not that bothered. A seriously snotty nose would get wiped but not otherwise probably. But my DCs are horrible neglected.

Yes I'm talking green slime running into mouth.

When I had really bad morning sickness I saw a kid at a playgroup with two thick green snot candles and nearly puked on him.

Am not usually so fragile.

Obviously I see to green snot, in fact as I said earlier I am pretty diligent about wiping, but occasionally get a mother coming up to me in a playgroup to tell me that one of mine needs wiping

In fact this reminds me that with ds1 when I used to push it him in his forward facing pushchair, I was constantly being stopped by kindly folk. Or people would smile at me and point at their own noses

To be fair, other people's snot is much more offensive than your own beautiful child's...

Other people's snot on my sofa is when I get a bit angsty

What makes me feel queezy is seeing a friend use her fingers to clean up the lil ones nose and then wipe it in her own trousers! Yuk.

I can't handle my own toddler burying her tantrumming snotting head in my sofa cushions, I shudder when someone else's does it

Don't mind snot per se, just not on things other than faces

Snotty nose and face or screaming abdabs when approached by mummy brandishing tissue. I'm such a lazy cow I go for the easy life every time and then soak it off in the bath before bed Obviously off the DCs not off me.

As soon as my daughter has a cold/runny nose, I put her in a hot bath twice a day for at least 30 mins and let the steam loosen the snot - and then clean her nose out with dampened cotton wool.

This helps a lot, and of course I and she wipe her nose with tissues.

Snotty noses are gross, I so agree.

cant stand snotty faces,messy hair,especailly little girls with it all hanging in their eyes,get a clip !! Dirty socks,when they should be white,or full length socks that dont fit and hang at the calfs..Baggy school jumpers,or cardys. think ive gone on enough ha ha ..
