Did your bum shuffler ever crawl?

DS2 has just turned one year old.
Hes been bum shuffling for about two months and started cruising furniture, loves to be stood up. The bum shuffling looks like it takes loads of effort, one leg is bent and the other stretched outwards and he uses his arms to push himself along.
No signs of crawling - he’s never really enjoyed tummy time or being on his front. I assume he might skip the crawling stage entirely and go straight to walking? If you had a bum shuffler did they ever crawl?

No. Cruised at 16 months (not much though) then just stood up and walked almost perfectly at 18 months. She's an older child now and not at all sporty but can swim, ride a bike etc and is very very clever.

My next child crawled and walked much earlier.

@DollyGx no he never crawled. He started taking a few steps on his own at 14 months but wasn’t fully walking independently until 18 months. I’ve seen him crawl every now and then since he started walking but he never did it prior!

I was a bum shuffler apparently which I did until 16 months when I eventually started walking. Never crawled. My DD1 rolled and never crawled

Nope. She also never cruised and the health visitor was starting to talk about a referral which I refused. On the day she turned 18 months, she just stood up and walked across the room. Never stopped after that

Nope, just went straight to walking when she was ready. She was never that fussed about moving about! 😆

Bum shuffled, never crawled, got up and walked off independently one day at 21 months after a couple of months of cruising. By the end it was more a disconcertingly fast bum gallop than a shuffle.
Hypermobile and diagnosed dyspraxia.

My cousin was an expert bum shuffler. I've never seen a kid move so fast. Two of my DCs were army crawlers not sure what you call it and one was a roller. They didn't typically crawl.
