Thanks for reading, sorry if this is a long one. I'm 8 weeks pregnant at the moment and we also have our lovely DD who is 7.5 months old. We always wanted our first two close in age, but perhaps not this close! We are aware it is going to be tricky but I would love to hear about how other people found it and if anyone had any tips!
On a side note- were your first and second babies very similair? Our DD is a different baby now but life was incredibly difficult for the first 4 months- she had colic and would cry 5 hours a night non- stop, no medication or cranial osteopathy etc worked, she had very bad silent reflux with refusal to feed so she has had several hospital admissions and been on all sorts of medications and formulas, generally a very high needs baby who requires constant stimulation and attention. We were almost completely broken at the point where she wouldn't feed and I was treated for PND. I suppose I'm quite scared that our second baby may also have colic and silent reflux? She was breech and I had a successful ECV and a fast 3 hour labour with ventouse delivery so I've always wondered if some of her problems were linked to this ( I remember the cranial osteopath commenting she was unhappy because of the above reasons).
Sorry for the essay, thank you for any replies 😊

Thanks so much for all your replies! My DH is very hands on and we have lots of family around so I'm sure this will help lots. Looking forward to seeing them hopefully grow up as best friends 😊

@LLMS2022 hey there any updates? Your little one must be 3 months now? Excited to hear 😁

I have a 14 month old and a 2.5 month old. It's been easier than I thought it was going to be and easier than people kept telling me it would be. Despite my newborn having reflux and colic- which has been challenging at times. I have to wear her in the carrier most of the time as she doesn't like being put down when she is awake - I think she is uncomfortable when she's laid on her back because of the heartburn. I remind myself every day that my only goal right now is to take care of these babies and nothing else really matters. I don't have to love every day right now. That helps me massively, and to be honest I do find myself loving most days or at least loving something about each day. I'm glad we had them so close together, and I'm excited to continue watch them growing up together.

@Misha1998 she is 4.5 months now! And thankfully she is a very calm and happy baby- phew! It is still very difficult with both of them and the Mum guilt is awful. She looks exactly the same as my eldest did and they are so interested in one another, its lovely to watch. Must say having my eldest in nursery two days a week is an absolute lifesaver at the moment! 🙏
