If your baby/toddler goes to sleep at 7pm, what time are they awake from in the morning?

9 month old wakes at 7am but isn't tired enough at 7pm and it's closer to 8pm he goes go bed. Just wondering how people are putting their babies down at 7pm?

2 and 4yr olds down 7-7.15. Usually up 5.30-6am. V short nap for the toddler.

gingercatpat · 05/08/2021 20:02

@Sxxyfing what time does your 1 year old have their naps please?

My 1 year old is down around 7-7:30 and up around 6-6:30 - he gets too tired if it's a later bedtime, but tends to reliably sleep 11 hours overnight (with a couple of wake ups).

Naps at 9am-ish and 1pm-ish, but we go more by wake windows and sleep cues (between 3 and 4 hours awake atm) than hard and fast timings. How many naps does your 9mo have? Have they dropped to two yet?

Blippibloppi · 05/08/2021 20:09

Goes to bed at 7.30pm, wakes at 7am ish.

Sxxyfing · 05/08/2021 20:14

I put her down between 9.30/10 for between 45 mins and an hour and half. Then the PM nap can be anytime from 1pm to 3pm for a similar time frame.
If we're at home these naps go to plan however if wer out it's more difficult for her to get to sleep! Which can make bedtimes more difficult x

Pissinthepottyplease · 05/08/2021 20:14

8 pm to 7 am sleeper here but only because she has dropped her day time nap. She doesn’t sleep through yet.

LordOfTheOnionRings · 05/08/2021 20:26

7:15pm sleep, up anytime from 5:30am-7am

worrybutterfly · 05/08/2021 20:30

Down at 7pm, usually asleep by 7.20pm. Up between 5.30-6.30am.

Is 18months and has one nap at day for around an hour at 12.30pm.

We've tried everything to try and get her to nap longer or wake later, but have admitted defeat and decided that she just must not need more sleep.

Mine go to bed at 7.30pm.

4 year old wakes up between 6-6.30am, occasionally 7pm but rare. This is a big improvement for us, it was 5.30am until recently. It doesn’t matter what time she goes to bed, wake up is the same time regardless.

16 month old wakes up between 5.30-6am. Again, regardless of what time she goes to bed. She is a big napper, she’ll do 2-3 hours between 10am-midday/1pm. At the moment, those long naps are really useful so I can entertain my 4 year old in peace 😅 once she’s at school in September, I might start to reduce them a little & see if it helps her morning sleep!

Givemebackmylilo · 05/08/2021 21:54

12 hours here. So either 7-7, 7:30-7:30, 8-8

welshweasel · 05/08/2021 22:00

2 year old sleeps 7-7, no nap. 5 year old sleeps 8-7.

2020p · 05/08/2021 22:11

My baby is only 6 months and stays up a little later than others. Roughly 9:30pm-8/8:30am. She sleeps through as I keep her naps short 1 hour morning, then 3 half hour naps through the day.

Phiphi123 · 06/08/2021 02:58

Mine is 9months and goes to bed between 5.30-6pm have tried to keep him up later but he’s just miserable if we do. He wakes between 5-6am usually but will sometimes be rocked back down until 7am

bloodywhitecat · 06/08/2021 05:59

15 months old, bed at 6.30, wakes at 6.30. Naps at 9am for an hour and 1pm for 2 hours

KingdomScrolls · 06/08/2021 06:07

DS goes to sleep between 7:30 and 8 and gets up between 7 and 7:30 if I put him down earlier he gets up earlier. I'm only awake this early today because I've got to travel for work, he's still sound asleep and so is DH. We're not morning people

burritofan · 06/08/2021 06:11

Mine goes to bed at 8.30 end still gets up at 5.30 😭

tiredmama2020 · 06/08/2021 07:16

9 months old. Goes to sleep between 7-8pm depending on how naps have been that day. Awake 5-6am everyday. Still wakes a few times in the night and sometimes still wants a night feed 😴
Naps usually around 9am until 10.30am ish and then 2pm until 3.30pm ish if he’s having a good day!

Yerroblemom1923 · 06/08/2021 07:19

Asleep at 7pm but wakes any time between 5 and 6am. Still has a 1-2 hr nap around 2pm, which I'm glad about as means I can cope with the early get ups!
